BUSTED!!

I'm sure this has already been reported to the company so I post it here as a warning to others. This was posted on Facebook on the "Staten Island Neighbors" group page.

Whatever discipline this driver got was well deserved, in my opinion. This is DISGUSTING!!

All I see is a bus with garbage next to it. No photo of driver putting it there. Unless there are more photos.

And by the way ... I asked the person who posted the picture on Fb if he actually saw the driver throw the garbage from the bus. He did!

Somebody also commented that the same bus did the same thing in front of his house last week.

The Fb poster, Mario Buon, is part of a group that monitors this kind of stuff on that strip. Says he has video from a surveillance camera. If he posts it I'll try to post it here.

Also, the guy is filing an affidavit with DSNY. For that you MUST have proof.

Buzz, until I see the driver doing it, I doubt it. There are different photos. The one with the bus has no garbage.
Two different sports cleats dumped after am run. On an inspection day. Sounds like a parking the bus issue. Even if I wasnt a driver, I would have doubts.

I have deleted the photo and will give the guy the benefit of the doubt until I see video proof.

Buzz, it's a good decision you took the photo down, after an extremely poor one to post it with no proof it came from the bus. Your attempt to embarrass the driver and company with no clear evidence is a thumbs down for you!  But thanks for the forum, just a bit more integrity please.

I'll admit, I swallowed the Facebook poster's claim hook, line and sinker. It would have only embarrassed the driver if he in fact was guilty. But it was posted on Facebook and the company learned of it from there, not from this site. It appears he just happened to park there and was not the culprit. That's what I'll believe until and unless I see evidence to the contrary.

I purposely joined that site last night in order to defend that driver. I did not mention that I worked for Pioneer. What I will say is that I went back & forth with a few people and they did say that the driver was and has been in the past discarding trash there. They were adamant that it was the driver and they have proof and that the DSNY will decide. I can only say for the sake of the driver and for the reputation of all of us at Pioneer that they are wrong.

They had me fooled initially, too. No complaints have ever been called in to the office ... I checked. All they knew about it was what they saw on Facebook, but they did ask the driver about it. Oblivious to the whole thing. (Carmine even said the guy didn't do it.) The guy is brand new. Plus, the bus was parked there for hours.  If somebody does something like that, they leave abruptly. A number of people pressed the Facebook guy to post the video. Instead, the post was deleted. I'm now convinced it was bullshit. Maybe didn't like the bus being parked where it was. Bunch of Karens who will malign an innocent person for their own agenda ... whatever that is.

Then unless they post photos of the driver actually throwing trash out then all it looks like to me is him parked next to garbage....

If it's still on Facebook, please provide a link. As far as I can tell the original post on the Staten Island Neighbors Fb page was deleted, and apparently it was even deleted from the SI Drivers Fb page.

According to Bobby, whom I asked, there were no complaints to the office, so I don't know who's right about that. Carmine had also posted on Fb that the guy did not do it. It's very possible that calls were made to bolster their argument after the fact when they read some of the rebuttals on Fb.

Only a video would be sufficient for DSNY to issue a violation. If, in fact, they had one, they would have posted it.  It would not happen basis the pics that were posted. They're just not proof as to whom actually  put the garbage there.

Possibly a recall but probably pre-DOT service. It has to get serviced before it gets DOT. Just look at your inspection sticker if it's due within the next 1 to 3 weeks then it's going in for pre-DOT service

Just checked out that page. I'm still not convinced the guy did it. The poster, Mario, gave the excuse of having to climb a ladder to get the video doesn't make sense. I assume he had to pull a memory stick. But if he already did that to send to DSNY he would already have it to upload to the group.

Also somebody said when he saw they were taking pictures he picked it up, then threw it there again when they left. The guy would have to be pretty dumb to do that, if true. Also, they said he parks there every day. Again, IF he's guilty, he'd have to be pretty dumb.

As you said, we'll see.
