Diwali to Replace "Anniversary" Day

To make room for the Hindu holiday, "Diwali," it will replace another school holiday, likely "Anniversary" Day. Just awaiting Hochul's approval. This year Diwali is on July 1 so basically we'd be screwed out of a holiday.

Why not add a day that actually means something the last 20 plus years with a 9/11 day to remember all that lost their lives
