This just happened either last year or the year before. It's not a big deal. The only problem like last time is if the adjusted times for each school is not shown on the route sheets when we pick. For two reasons.
For us bc the times make a difference to some of us when we pick. And more importantly when you pick a run with two or three schools that are on the route sheet, there's no problem but when school starts and one those schools have different times then on the sheet. Then all we're hear is "problem run"

No, it didn't happen last year but it shouldn't happen any year. And yes you are correct sometimes there is also other Stupidity that occurs around pick time.

Stupidity meaning only Special Ed runs being posted and picked and Gen Ed runs being posted and picked a month after school starts as what has happened in the past.

If you don't DEMAND obviously from the owner's standpoint you're not going to get it. All new divers that are currently working summer school that did not get their appropriate wage increase as of July 1st, 2023 should get together and talk to Anthony. I'm not working and this is the first I'm hearing of this and I believe Anthony was off the first half of the summer. If you're entitled to an increase I'm sure Anthony will take the necessary measures.

Also remember a lot of drivers that pick special ed whether a van or bus pick it for one reason. So they don't have to deal with the kids and those so called "pain in the ass" do!

Obviously all runs are subject to change, so there's basically nothing u can do. As far as the AC goes, if it's that bad write it up and tell Anthony and/or Hearns about it. With regards to ur "secretary" if it's really that far out of the way then the two of you should find a location that is reasonable for the both of you such as a train/bus stop. At least in the PM. In the AM on days that you have trips as long as you still have time to make it to the trip then bring her/him to wherever she/he has to go.
After all we are all Union brothers & sisters. Besides when you picked a Special Ed run I'm sure you thought about this ahead of time.

If that is correct it just shows how much money he makes on each run if it's still profitable to rent vans but I don't think that's the case. How can he pick runs knowing he doesn't have the vans to cover them?

How's the negotiations going?

Between IC advertising to hire and Neil supposedly getting another 60 to 70 new buses over this summer it doesn't appear (at least to me) that the owners are worried about a strike in September.
