I think 14,000 is a little high but regardless it's a shame. Having said that this seems to be about the norm (for people voting) for the past few elections. This year being even less but then again basically there was only one slate running so many members might have figured there was no reason to vote. Regardless & unfortunately it just shows laziness and/or a lack of interest. I mean the ballot is sent to ur house and the return envelope is prepaid. All you have to do is take 10 seconds to one minute to complete it. But I'm sure if the shit hits the fan the majority of those who didn't vote will be the first on line to complain.
Maybe if was mandatory to vote and levy some sort of penalty there may be more involvement.Unfortunately this is the norm.
