It never ceases to amaze me that some of the lucky pool winners are too friggin' cheap to tip a full 10% ... or not at all. Whether you won $5000 or $200, ten percent is ten percent. NOTHING is taken off the top. There is a lot of time, work and aggravation to running a pool, not to mention the fiduciary responsibility of safeguarding (and making good for) a lot of money.

The guy deserves a FULL 10%. If you can't afford to give him that, you shouldn't be gambling in the first place! If you haven't done the right thing, MAKE IT RIGHT. Don't be a ...

1,000 - 1 st.
1,000 - 3 rd.  ( thats 9,000 in case your not adding )
   200 - reverse final
   200 - reverse half  ( 9,400 )
   150 - per touching final box x 4 = 600 & 9,400 =  you guessed it 10,000

Hey Numbers, Moose has filed a complaint with the moderator that you're picking on him! He wants to make sure you know that it wasn't he who couldn't "added" up. Another poster asked for the explanation, who subsequently deleted their message. Moose was answering that poster. He knows how to "added" up correctly. Give the guy some credit!!  ;D

(He also tried to correct "added" up ... but typed the same exact thing again ... LOL. Now I see he has made the correction, twice ... but it's still in my quote!)

And BTW, Numbers, I wouldn't get the Moose too pissed off. I'd hate to have some of the words that come out of his mouth appear on here!  :devil:

Yeah, but they make excuses, "Oh, I didn't know he doesn't take anything off the top" or "But I partners with somebody ... have to check with him."

Listen, whoever accepts the envelope opens it, peels off 10% and gives it to the guy. Period.

At least 10 % is deserved by the manager of the pool....by why do I have to split the rest with my wife...she had her hand out before I even collected the winnings from the football pool??
