Work Related / Medical Benefits

Since we are getting paid for the week of 9/14/20, will our medical benefits get reinstated on the same day?

Since the above is covered by our union, do we lose these also? Most concerning is the prescription coverage.

Work Related / ADP Online Pay Stub
March 27, 2020, 04:31:06 PM
Just received my first 85% stub online via the ADP online system. Under gross pay it's listed as "Corona Drivers." Yeah, that made me fell a lot better. >:(

I can't park at Loews, I can't park at the mall, and I can't even park my ass in the driver's room.   >:(

My benefit year ending date is 7/31/16 and I certified my claim today as usual.  Do I open a new book today or tomorrow?

Work Related / Repairs?
March 07, 2016, 11:25:54 PM
Why is it taking the boss so long to fix the toilet?  It's been down a very long time and sharing one seat is a big inconvenience. The downright condition of the men's bathroom is appalling.

Work Related / REFRESHER OMISSION
August 30, 2014, 03:43:04 PM
Why wasn't anything touched upon at  the refresher course regarding any union matters, EPP status, or the news about that 42 Million handout? Even if there was nothing new to tell us, something, anything would of been nice to hear coming from Ernie or even Owen.  But at least we learned how to pick up heavy items and how to walk without slipping or falling for the second consecutive year.

Work Related / New Claim Unemployment
July 21, 2014, 03:56:30 PM
Just completed a new claim online and everything went through fine.  Is there anything else I need to do at this point, regarding the problems that everyone is having, due to Pioneers error reporting the quarterly figures to New York State?

Work Related / COMP CASE
January 23, 2014, 10:58:38 PM
At the safety class we were lectured and instructed on "how to walk without falling."  Neil posted numerous posters on fraudulent injury claims.  If Neil is so interested on comp cases, why does he refuse to plow the yards?

Work Related / Giving Back
November 21, 2013, 12:33:35 AM
The "give back" ball has begun rolling and will continue to roll contract after contract.  I highly doubt we will ever get to where we once were, not even close for that matter.  I also think this Mayor will do absolutely nothing for us since yellow buses are rolling in the same manor but at a highly reduced rate for the City of New York.  Our only hope is to strike with 100% compliance from EVERY school bus driver, union and non-union alike.  And you know that is not going to happen, we've seen it first hand with spineless drivers from companies such as IC and AE.  I don't know how they expect to retain new hirees at the very low rates they will be earning and with poor medical coverage. This industry is going to become a revolving door for sub-standard drivers who will quit as soon as they find a job with slightly more pay.

Work Related / Neil

It must be a great to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth.  The hardest this man has ever worked was probably on the homework he did in college that daddy paid for.  A company that he inherited practically runs itself, due to his hard working employees.  The hardest he works running it, probably is counting the profits it earns and keeping an eye out for the occasional "bad apple" employee.  I wish no ill will for anyone, but truly believe in karma.  What goes around comes around.  Perhaps the money he makes from our payroll cuts might be needed for future chemotherapy treatments for tumors on his brain.

Work Related / Morale
March 24, 2013, 04:00:13 PM
I used to come to work with a smile on my face.  I can honestly say I liked my job alot and took pride when I was behind the wheel.  Now, my morale is completely shot down and I cringe when my alarm goes off.  I try very hard to keep my good nature in front of the kids I transport daily, I feel they deserve that.

The last letter we got from Neil contradicts almost every letter he wrote while we were on strike.  I feel he completely betrayed his employees.

Work Related / Atlantic Express
January 27, 2013, 05:01:07 AM
With the exception of just a handful of drivers from Atlantic Express on Meridith, why aren't they on the picket line with us?  I know they are not 1181 (854 I believe) but if we should lose this fight, they have a lot to lose also.  For without the EPP, they also stand to lose their salary base and seniority.  And if we win, they ride our coat tails and reap the benefits from our hard work on the picket line while they sit in the comfort of their warm homes and are collecting unemployment.  We were shoulder to shoulder with them at the rally roaring with signs, where are they now?  Seems to me, their matrons have bigger balls then the spineless AE drivers.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Work Related / MEDCO
December 17, 2012, 03:19:17 AM
Since when did Express Scripts and Medco merge?  Never heard this from anyone at Pioneer, found out by trying to refill a script on the website.  Every eligible refill for my family has vanished from the site.  Anyone else have this problem?
