Opened a new claim 8/24. Had the same problem as everyone else with benefit year ending 5/3 and break in claim. Tier 3 rep changed it for me and the benefit year ending now reads 8/22/2021. However, she told me I would receive the max but my weekly benefit amount reads zero. WTF?

My BYE(benefit year ended) last Sunday,7-19-20. On Monday, 7-20-20, I opened a new book and received a confirmation #. I also got a message in my account from the Dept. of Labor which stated to begin to claim starting Sunday 7-26-20 and each week thereafter. I also called unemployment on Tuesday and a rep. said everything looked good and to claim starting Sunday. Well tried to certify for benefits today and it is telling me that I have a break in claim and haven't claimed benefits since 5-3-20 is that because you worked YES or NO. I can't answer that question since I have been claiming benefits, like all of us , every week since we have been fur-lowed. I will call unemployment Monday and see if I can get this straightened out. Good luck to all when opening a new book.

Please let us know what happens.

There twitter says if your year end date ends you must refile. If you have 0 effective days you just keep claiming. Mine ends August 16th so i have to re open on the 17th

Their Twitter says, "To continue receiving your UI or PUA benefits, continue to certify every week. There is no need to reapply or contact the NYS DOL, unless your benefit year has expired."

Your benefit year has not expired. Unless they tell you otherwise just keep claiming.

So you have to reapply the day after your "Benefit Year Ending Date." So Wigwag has to open a new book on 8/17th.

I could be wrong, but that's not the way I'm reading it. "There is no need to reapply or contact the NYS DOL, unless you are told to do so."

Sounds to me like you don't have to reapply unless your benefit year ended prior to the extension.

Guess we'll find out if we go online the day after our BYE date and see if it lets us open a new claim.
The above statement reads "There is no need to reapply or contact the NYS DOL, unless your benefit year has expired." Not "There is no need to reapply or contact the NYS DOL, unless you are told to do so." No?

That's all that was written about us.

Does this mean if we go back in September and I decide to retire in October, I will not have retiree medical benefits?

That has nothing to do with the accrual money he WILL get paid by the city they have a contract as we do for our accrual money

Not so sure about that. The city is not honoring their contracts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no "force majure" in the city's contract with Pioneer. Bus companies in NJ are still being paid with benefits. Litigation must start but that takes plenty of time.

I know exactly who this is.  I've heard him say the same thing many times over the years.  Forget the spelling disguise.

It's Neil.
If Neil stooped to this level, except for money, this man has some serious problems.

AN UPDATE TO THURSDAY MEETING

The PEP agenda has once again changed and has removed the vote to pay the contractors for the month of April. I will get back to you all when I know more.

Ernie.
Did you mean to type May instead of April?

Since the above is covered by our union, do we lose these also? Most concerning is the prescription coverage.
