Furthermore let me say one more thing, so my comments are not taken the wrong way. Whether or not I agree with our Board or Steward, outside of this Local I always stand with them but if I disagree with them I will voice my opinion, not just on this site or other sites or at the schools with the other drivers. I will and have told them face to face. And one more thing I think Anthony does a great job but I do not group him with the Board. He has no control over what the Board does.

You're saying after 30 years that's "exactly" what you would have expected.

Yet last week you were the one that suggested to the "new hires" to go to the meeting otherwise it a slap in Anthony's face.
Unfortunately that is exactly what I expected and that's why I said no Member should be told or influenced to go to a meeting. They should be asked. And I'm not saying that any of us shouldn't go. Far from it. I use to go to every meeting. Unfortunately maybe bc of age, ailments, where the meetings are held and after my 20 years I don't go anymore.

That's my whole point. Whether you're Pre or Post 2013 there's no slapping to anyone. Just as no one should be told or influenced that they must go to a meeting. Although it would be great that we ALL attend the meeting (not just this meeting but every meeting) a simple thank you and show of appreciation is fine. It appears that this contract has every member (at least members of legacy companies back under one contract). So it time to stop with the separation. And as I stated no matter who is going to get whatever in this contract, it doesn't just benefit a certain group. It benefits all of us and this LOCAL. Hopefully in the coming years the next step will be to get ALL 1181 properties (not just legacy) under one contract again. And one more thing. And I can get in trouble for this but let's not forget just as we choose to be be drivers & matrons and get paid for doing our job to the best of our ability so does our President, Delegates and Stewards. They do the job that they chose to the best of their ability and get paid for it. Sometimes like us, they fail and sometimes as in this case they prevail.

All kidding aside, it's up to each and everyone of us if we decide to go to a meeting. No one should tell you or force you to go. And you shouldn't say it's a slap in Anthony's face if the 2013 group doesn't go. If you're gonna say that then you should say it's a slap in Anthony's face if ANY of us don't go. Besides what Senior Members will get in this new contract anything that the "2013 Group" gets is not only beneficial to them but beneficial to each and everyone of us and the future of this Union Local. Just my humble opinion.

Come on Buzz, u've been around a while.
Did u ever think it could be to ensure he gets the endorsement of 1181 and the votes of its appropriate 12,000 active & retired members when reelection time comes around.
Meanwhile don't think he's not playing both sides to make sure he gets campaign contributions from the owners come election time. He use to be a cop but he's a Politician Now!!!

As far as last week when I asked Anthony he said that the Mayor's Office met with the Union but not with both sides while at the table. And as far as the Mayor's Office meeting separately with the Owners, that I wouldn't know.

And I forgot the at home online classes.
Another waste of millions & millions of dollars on laptops & tablets that the children either didn't use or didn't learn anything by using. My opinion, just like with Bloomberg this administration as with dumbblasio's is with the owners and not us.
