The Basic Base Period is the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters before the quarter in which you file for benefits.

The Alternate Base Period is the last four completed calendar quarters before the quarter in which you file for benefits.

I don't think you have a choice. All I did was tell them the company I worked for, my last day of work and that's how I got 358. I assume they ran it back
From April-November which is 26 weeks. My highest quarter was 9,308 which divided by 26 is 358. If i was at top pay I woulda got the 504. The only good thing they did was start my
Claim last week so I don't have the waiting week.

Tried calling at 7:15 p.m. figuring a lot of people wouldn't know about the extended hours. WRONG! Couldn't even get in the queue. Too busy, call back another time. UGH!!!

Finally got thru today. Waited almost 2 hours. They said my dates were wrong. He said I was probably right but they had it wrong. Been waiting 6 weeks for money. He said I should get all my money owed to me by tomorrow.

It's not based on the highest quarter. It's based on 4 out of 5 quarters. Use the calculator I posted above.

You'll get $504.

Actually, I was on hold with them as I was reading your post. Got through fairly easily and after I spoke to the first person I was on hold about a half hour for the one she switched me over to.

She said she straightened it out and it should show in my account tomorrow. However, she said that I would have a waiting week (last week).

Her explanation didn't really make sense. She said when I initially started claiming I had an open claim and started getting paid right away and the waived waiting week was only for new claims back then but being I was just coming off a claim there would be a waiting week. Makes no sense to me but whatever. Just hoping she straightened out the dates as she said. I'll know tomorrow.

By the way, she said they had "bots" processing the claims and that's why the dates were getting screwed up. That's why I say the state needs to hire some of Amazon's programmers. Millions more transactions per day than UI and the site is virtually flawless.

Hopefully your good to go now.    Did you say 9-10 return to work or did they ask lack of work.

I had a girl just now who didn't know how to put me through to a level 3. I hung up on her called again got to a level 2 she said that she sees an issue because they weren't supposed to backtrack it a week because it overlaps the one I had open last week. So she put me through to a level 3 and I'm waiting 🤦🏻‍♂️. She said because yours started last year on the 12th and ended on the 16th and they started the new one on the 10th instead of the 17th 🤦🏻‍♂️. The guy before her said we have to wait for either a denial/acceptance letter and a letter of how much we are getting because my weekly/yearly rates are both reading 0.00 although the dates are correct  🤦🏻‍♂️

Just got through to a level 3 after waiting for an hour an 9 minutes. She said although it's saying 0.00 for the year and weekly its showing 358 on their end. Keep claiming on Sunday and I asked so when I claim Sunday I should get paid Tuesday she said yes. Then i asked about the Trump money and she said it says on the website not to ask them about that lol

None of these "specialists" seem to be on the same page yet they all speak so authoritatively. The answers you get depends on the person you talk to. Unreal.
