Obviously we have to wait and see the specifics of the new contract but from what Michael said tonight it appears (at least to me) that we (senior & current new hires) will be happy with it. I want to thank Michael, Ernie & the entire Board for a job well done!

I don't care what else is in the new contract. I'm voting against it if it doesn't stipulate that owners have to provide brooms for buses!!!

The only "news" I can tell you guys is that the final contract has not been signed yet and we won't see it until it is. There are still some fine points and wording in the contract that have to be ironed out ... which is not unusual after a "tentative agreement" is reached.

The only thing I can confirm is that there will be raises but we'll have to wait to see the MOA to find out the amounts.

Wish I had more ... I'm as anxious as anyone. For now, we'll just have to be satisfied knowing that the contract is at least good enough to not put us out on the streets.

According to Michael at the Union Meeting included in the tentative agreement there is raises of more than 2% each year and also included is a flat rate retro payment.
