Buzz

LOL! Good one!  :rotfl:

Oh ...... you're serious.   :sos:

Faceit, I want to see how you react at the possible new contract we may get.  A payroll problem is a small problem if our new contract is even slightly resembling the contract for Reliant.  I heard it's either losing all of Christmas or Easter, and 2 days for every summer accrual check, and a few more troubling details.  Do the math, that's a lot of paying days to lose for a company who's making money and is in the black.  That's close to 50% of your summer accrual.  If up for vote I'm voting no !  so go back to the bargaining table.

worker341

We are in charge of our future tell them all to go to hell who saids yes to this bullshit. The boss is making alot of money on all the new people he hired, with health insurance and the pay these poor people are getting is a shame on all of us. The boss is getting richer, bottom people support the top people on this job and the top people on this job support the bottom, we have to stand together and we will all win. fuck them all who does not support us and I do mean all. Vote no when the time comes for us to vote.

Buzz

Of course you guys realize that voting "no" means you're voting to go on strike. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, but there is usually no such thing as going back to the bargaining table. If it's their final and best offer, it's either accept it or strike. Again, that may be what you have to do, but just understand that that is what a "no" vote means.

Sorry Buzz, but I don't believe in that shit, "a no vote is a strike vote".  So why even vote on it ? Just shove it down our throats! 2 days for every summer check is too much, that's 40% plus Christmas and Easter.  That shouldn't even be brought to the table.

Rock Steady

Also, they're gonna wave the money they legally owe us in front of us like bait.  Just as they did when they gave up parity for  $1500.

I know it sucks, but it's the way it is. But I'm not here to argue with you. We'll be facing a similar dilemma soon enough. We can all thank Bloomberg for destroying lives and companies.

I wish you the best.

WHY are they trying to cut OUR salaries?  And why now?

i dont think any of us will do much better then the impasse contract proposed.the sad part is we lost 5 weeks on strike for nothing, turned our great company work attitude into a who gives a $hit attitude like other $hitty companies throughout the industry..im sure others who have been here for sometime will agree,we always came to work and it was a happy company managment, workers in office, and drivers and matrons no really never complained.now its a terrible work enviorment.all we can hope for is our new mayor will help us,but i dont have faith in him either, but if things come into our favor we need to set up for our future starting after the new year.the biggest kick in the pants we all took was when we lost Sal,we would not be in the shape we are in today if we still had Sal leading us,he knew had to talk and had the respect of his membership as did pioneer transportation had respect from the employees, its sad what it all came down too,and yes the mayor is a big cause of it,but this could have all been gone through respectfully on all parties involved.
on a better note i think we will get the best contract out of the industry ,i still have faith in the pioneer name,as always beiing the best company, service wise to the students in nyc and to its workers.pioneer name has to be a big help in neil getting his contract back in 6-2015,we give a little neil shows a saving to the city we all walk away happy, keep fingers crossed.we need to look at this contract with open minds forget the stike and all the bull$shit that happened afterwards and look into the future..look at neil action during and after the stike like this.we were on strike for us and for the most part to save all 1181 companies,he in return was protecting his company for us to come back to after the stike,1181 should have warned us that the companies as trustees had to vote on our benefits during strike, pionner could have never voted yes to benefits for striking workers bloomy would have had a field day with that, afterwards well companies have a coalition like we have 1181,now 1181 is dealing company to company...so keep fingers crossed and lets hope things change for the better  lets bring pionner back to being the ELITE!!!!!

For the drivers and escorts that have pensions from other jobs and maybe collecting social security voting NO might be an option for them. But for people like myself who are not collecting a pension and have mortgages and bills to pay, I would be inclined to vote yes.

Rock Steady

I may have misquoted the wild man in the drivers room the other morning.  I thought he said his family member lost 1,2,or 3 days for each summer check.  I believe they lost them all in Reliant.

Manwithabus

This is nothing personal, but this is how rumors get started.  Please, let's refrain from posting what "we hear" and concentrate on what "we know", and what we know comes directly from Ernie and Andy.  Be strong....We will prevail.

There are hundreds of out-of-work 1181 members who would be inclined to agree with you.

Either way, this guy in our drivers room ranting about his family members contract  the other morning from Reliant just got me nervous that's all. I hope ours is much, much different.

gigi11744

Please tell me where all this info is coming from... give me a web page ,an artical, a copy of the contract that u have that was proposed to pioneer drivers ...if u can provide this so i can make an informed decision i would greatly appreciate it ..if not shut the fuck up fools

Senior men get screwed again.  The more accrual checks you have, the more money they take away.  Ive never seen a union where the more time you have on the job, the more you lose.  I can't believe we are negotiating with the owners independently instead of as one.  There is more power in numbers.  If a guy has less than 5 years, why should he vote no, he has nothing to lose.  I also heard on snow days they want to give us four hours instead of a full day.  They get paid for a whole day.  For the guy called the Wildman in the morning, don't take him seriously.  He"ll do anything for attention.

Why not? Better we break the coalition than they break us. Power in numbers, yes. Now some of that power is taken away from them.
