From there Twitter:
Update: We are aware an issue prevented some claimants from certifying for unemployment benefits early this morning.
We have resolved the issue and all New Yorkers should now be able to certify online and through our automated phone system.
If you certified earlier today & received an error, please log back into the system & certify again to ensure your certification was captured.
Remember you can certify this week until Sat 1/9/21.
Everyone will get all benefits they are entitled to. Thank you for your patience.
Just went on and claimed
thanks
Also from their Twitter because someone asked about the extra 300...
The $300 FPUC payments will be paid this week to all claimants who receive UI benefits (including PEUC and EB) or PUA benefits.
Well, it says, "Thanks to proactive preparation, we will deliver extended PUA and PEUC benefits & $300 FPUC payments without delay." So hopefully it will actually be in our accounts this week ... unlike last time for many of us.
Just checked my viewed payments, my regular pay along with the extra 300 was released today 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Yep. Same here, Kid. Quite an improvement over last time.

Another driver said the same thing to me yesterday so you're not alone.
As a matter of fact, today I finally got through to someone at unemployment. You've got to get on the phone by 7:59 in the morning and start calling. I explained To her what's going on and she put me through to a level three supervisor, the supervisor said I should get my money by next week.
what the best # to try? and thanks
They start answering the phones at 8 AM, I would start calling at like 757 because you have to go through almost 5 minutes of rambling on
How will this work with the new function of UI does it still go by if you make more than 504 you can't claim or does it go by hours.
For example I work RJJ Tuesday-Thursday. No service on Monday for Presidents' Day and I don't have RJJ on Friday. That puts me at 24 hours. We are allowed up to 30 hours to claim UI but those 3 days put me above 504, so would I be able to claim given my hours are under 30 or no because I'm over 504
shouldnt you be paid for monday (presidents day) being your working that week...

"... if you work 30 hours or fewer and earn $504 or less in gross pay..." https://dol.ny.gov/unemployment/partial-unemployment-eligibility

Presidents' Day is paid after
2 years of service.
I believe I sent you the page from the MOA about holidays a few months ago. Please save me the trouble and look for it.
Question, for those of us working Jewish schools this week, if schools are closed tomorrow due to the "snowstorm" do we get 85 percent or no given public schools are off this week. I'm only asking because I don't have RJJ on Friday's and if they are closed Thursday it puts me under the 504 cap to claim unemployment. So who would know if we get 85 percent or not for those working Thursday?
I would ask Andy

I'm thinking "no" (because the DOE is closed anyway) but it's an unusual situation ... could go either way. Yes, ask Andy.
Do we claim Unemployment this Sunday 2/22?
Nobody knows a definite answer on if 2-18 is a snow day at 85 percent. Andy said he would
Assume so but he's gotta check up on it. I would guess Kathy would know the answer if anyone. I'm just curious because without the 85 percent I'm at 16 hours for the week. If we get the 85 percent do I put those 6.5 hours into my UI claim putting me at 22 hours. Questions people need answers to. Hopefully Kathy will have the answer tomorrow because from what other drivers are telling me they say we are getting the 85 and we aren't getting the 85.....and if we do, do we put it into the UI hours...
Well lookl, you'll have until a week from Saturday to claim for this week so if you don't get an answer right away, don't fret.
If it's up to Kathy, you ain't getting it. ;D ;D ;D
I'm thinking like this ... if schools were open today but a particular school called it a snow day, hires since 2013 wouldn't get paid (assuming they didn't have other schools).
Also, being you're only paid for the days you work I doubt you'll be getting a snow day. I'm guessing you won't get paid just like you don't get paid for Friday because your're not working.
Just my logic ... but let us know.

I'm just gonna put 16 hours as my work hours when I claim
This week. If I get the 85 percent next Friday and I have to owe back UI some money then oh well lol
Just to ask again. If we did not work this week to we file this Sunday 2/21?
