The writing is on the wall. He wants only city workers so they can sign off on their medical so neil could save some big bucks and your medical payments will go up. I think the labor board should look into what he is trying to doand if it is legal. By the way the Union should not allow neil offering city workers money to sign off medical. I call this practice a legal bribe.

Not sure what this all means, however will it be safe to say we just don't have paid sick days.

Well I quess I losted I voted no, However the yes votes win this shit contract. From this point on I will not discuss on this site how we got fucked. Like I said before I will no longer bitch about this fucked up contract its here now and I will learn to live with it for now. I respect everybodies opinion on this contract. However I will still be voting no I just can't make myself vote yes. However it turns out I will respect what the members of this Union voted for. It may not be the best union but it is still better then no union at all.

John you hit the nail right on the head with your statement. Just don't understand why the Union can't give us more time to vote. We did wait many months for Neil to give us this bullshit contract, now I think he should wait longer for our votes.

Proud member 30 days means warmer weather, much better to strike in warmer weather. And we all can prepare ourselves for a strike. The way I figure it  neil knows its cold out there and most of us are not prepared to go on strike now. thats why we are told a no vote is a strike vote. I don't think he will be so brave with this bullshit contract in better weather cause I think most of us will walk, just my thoughs. Its a no vote for me and I am willing to go on strike for a much better contract. And what I hear alot of people feel the same way. And one more thing I will add if this contract is passed by our members what do you think the next contract will be like.

Its a no no vote for me. A no vote does not mean a strike vote thats bullshit. They should give us 30 days before voting, by then the weather will be better and now we vote no to this fucked up contract and lets see how fast a no vote is a strike vote when we walk out in much warmer weather. For me its a No No vote now or later.

Its true squid I  am not good in math, however there is no Union worker in this country that does not get time in a half at it worse for working on a holiday. At its best some get a  double days pay. One more thing you should always remember Being a Union member you never take the side of the boss. look what Neil did to us all and you are concerned about if he gets paid more or less for a Holiday. Really! He is a very rich man and he still took food off our Families table. Get smart never and I say it again never defend our boss again. He will fuck you and me with a snap of his finger. yep you get 4 hrs for working Monday on a Holiday. Its a shame everyone in this country I'm sure get a full days pay for working on a Holiday but not here. Thats a change that should be in our a new contract, Neil gets a full days pay for that bus when it goes out, not 4 hrs. And the rich get richer.

So when do we go on strike lol what a joke the strike vote was. And one more thing if everybody hates this Union we do have a choice, Vote in another union all we need is 51% of Pioneer workers only. Lastly, see what it is like to have no Union at all. You pick or deal with the shit just like I do.
