Open New Book Unemploy

In regards to unemployment my Benefit Year End Date is Sun, 8/5. Can you tell me, Do I Claim on 8/5 than open new book on 8/6? Than claim on 8/12 for wait week? I'm getting all confused. .....again!!!!
