Can someone please explain the word holiday in our Current " contract or memorandum of agreement" The reason being if i were to call sick tomorrow 6/6/15 would i be docked 2 days pay?

Im a little confused on this, as i am not sure what if 6/5/15 is a holiday

Thanks

I believe if you didn't work today and took off tomorrow you would not get paid for either day. It is a school "holiday" and you have to work the day before and the day after to get paid for it. And if you don't work tomorrow, obviously you won't be paid for Friday either.
I am patient with stupidity, but not with those who are proud of it.

It is a good question. I would have to assume that at least in Neil's opinion that any day that you are off and get paid for it is considered a holiday with the exception of snow days. Hopefully it is something in the upcoming contract that will be renegotiated back to the way it was. If not every September before each school year starts those "holidays" should be listed so that there is no confusion.
