the conversation was between my niece, a Special Ed teacher and my cousin a Gen Ed teacher in Brooklyn and concerned the fact that no General Ed busing was expected to be available when schools opened...this was stated by the principle of PS 37 ...hope nothing was lost in the translation...just trying to show an honest picture as to what is going to happen

NOT WANTING TO BEAT A DEAD HORSE, but  "accrual checks" I know this topic has been brought up one too many times, but is this a dead issue? Do we just proceed and continue to wait for it to be consider to be paid!

I believe it was extended to 39 weeks...when I last checked my BYE date it was extended by 13 weeks...

"On March 27, 2020, a law was signed that provides additional Unemployment Insurance assistance to workers impacted by COVID-19. This means that you may qualify to receive: Up to 39 weeks of UI benefits"

Simple put, it is a tool that is advantageous to the contractor to exert pressure on the doe for their monies due. Our accrual monies are past due and have been already collected by the contractors. The city has their monies and the contractor's have our monies.

I feel like the wage acccrual is being held hostage and is being used as a tool for the contractors

Would this decision on arbitration of accrual come before or after the date Pioneer would expect me to resume my duties as a bus driver? I raise this question, because I for one would be reluctant to drive till this arbitration is settled.
#74
Anyone care to venture a guesstimate on when the arbitration for the accrual payment might come to fruition...

Why the stall, what benefit do they gain by delaying their decision to pay the accural? Buzz, thanks again for keeping us up to date, as much as possible.
