First of all Happy Thanksgiving to the entire Pioneer family. Buzz I have a question you maybe can answer. The posts I am reading says that the office is calling senior drivers to see if they want to work. Well I am under 75 in seniority and have reeved no call. Can you shed any light on this? Thanks!

How can my pm pick up time from my route sheet be so off the time the school dismissed the students. Arrived for a 2:50 out, as per my route sheet, and the aide said the students have been waiting since 1:45 dismissal. How can opt and the schools not be on the same page? Is anyone competent over there?

This is not Rocket science OPT writes their rules in a way that there is no clear interpretation. It is all done on purpose to keep the waters muddied. The bottom line is their rules put drivers and students alike at risk of covid 19. Even you Buzz noted the discrepancy between the CDC guidelines for seating and the seating chart put out by OPT. No one cares or the safety protocols would have been adequate, clear, and concise. Our safety is just not a high priority as evidenced by handing out 10 masks, and some hand sanitizer. Someone told me well we could not have plexiglass because it blocks our vision. Well how come the MTA has them as well as a number of ATU shops around the country. And what about all the proposals Michael put  forth which many believe were very  GOOD. How many did we get? 10 masks and some hand sanitizer. What a crying shame.

Ernie thanks for the update on the medical but it doesn't answer my question. I have a medical billing issue that wants to see a written notification when our Empire coverage is reinstated showing the date. Will there be such a notification or, if not, how can I obtain a written notification of our reinstatement with date.

The documentation of runs is only for runs that have children they are picking up this week? Those of us who only have public school general ed runs don't have any students till next week. So since we have no students this documentation does not pertain to us?

Sounds like unless there is a medical or developmental reason why a student can't wear a mask then they should not be allowed on the bus.

I have only public schools and was schd. to start on 9/29. But Buzz when I asked on this website if I, and drivers in my situation, should be reporting this week you quoted that Ernie posted and said ALL DRIVERS to come in at your report time, pick up your card, go to your first school, then wait for instructions. So instead of starting work on Tuesday 9/29 I came in this week as per what was posted on this site.

Buzz, on another topic, do you know if we will be getting a letter from Empire or 1181 that our coverage is reinstated as per a certain date. I need such a letter for a billing problem I am having? Thanks!

Buzz you say we are basically screwed. But what is are union response to the lack of safety protocol? What happened to the union's safety proposal that Michael put out a few months back? There has to be  some kind of response other than were fuc.... Can something legally be done, some city, state, fed. agency pertaining to workers safety, ect. Even the MTA had Plexiglas installed on their buses, something. Can the union find out what's up with the lack of clarity with the BOE indicating a seating diagram with only 10 students then indicating elsewhere that any student with a mask must be allowed on the bus. We need answers don't we deserve at least that much or are we some kind of robots and shouldn't question anything. It's just not fair on any level.
