As far as I'm concerned, the EB shouldn't leave the bargaining table until they got back all the money we gave up. We the Drivers & Matrons have been taking a beating for years. A poorly run and organized strike lead by clowns, thousands of dollars lost out of our annual salary, getting pounded by inspectors with ridiculous $200.00 fines, a jerk-off GM who definitely suffers from bipolar disorder. And now the board can change any run they want when all new work used to go to the bottom driver, so now seniority has even less meaning. This job has taken 22 steps back and not one forward. It has taken such a downward spiral its not funny. Some of us gave up over 10% of our salary for nothing. It was supposed to help Neal be competitive but it wasn't necessary !  I'm already hearing from our leaders that we're not getting everything back, they're already putting a spin on it.  If 1181 doesn't get our money back, they've lost all my support and I'm done with them. Unless they take a pay cut to make up our loss, I will never make another Meeting to support them. This membership has been taking a beating and I'm tired of being a punching bag.

I heard a few things that were said about Neals brief visit to an almost empty drivers room.  The one thing he did say was that with an extension we may we may not get all our give backs back. he brought up the COI, which is bullshit. I did the research and it's almost nothing. we made give backs so he can be competitive in a bidding war which never happened, these give backs hurt me quite a bit. I WANT MY STUFF BACK, ALL OF IT !!  and the thing is he had support making that statement in the drivers room which is totally shocking to me.  ALL OF IT !

Well, the promise to revisit the terms is in the current contract. I personally will vote against any more "Give Backs", and will do everything I can to convince everyone else to do the same. We gave back to much, and I want my stuff back.

I don't know about that. for a while we were cut down to 3 summer accrual checks for some new employees.  And a few years later Sal got one back and it capped at 4. so it can be done.  It's called "Tough Negotiating". I know we haven't seen that in a while.

Exactly, just like I said. We are entitled to sick days unless they are negotiated away. When our contract ends we can get sick days, Cordiello can get rid of the "evergreen clause" and get us sick days. Like I said, the only way we don't get them is by letting them be negotiated away along with February week, Easter week, summer days, over time, etc.

Correction Buzz, we are legally entitled to sick days. Read the law, it's available to you on the web.  The law can be negotiated out of our contract. So if we don't get sick days 1181 let them go like everything else, and there is only one person to blame.

There's a reason this is being done, but I can't mention it here.  But in the end they're asking many of us to go two weeks without income. Great Job ! Must have been some tough negotiating to get this done.

I'm not sure The Chief is as anti Cordiello as it is pro union and pro working man. There has been a number of articles in papers very similar in scope to The Chief. They pretty much all said the same thing, how 1181 so poorly handled the strike and sent their members up the river.  I'm not anti Cordiello, but they can't all be wrong.

I'm gonna say this !  If I have to vote on a contract that is asking me to pay more for something or give up anything else, it's a solid NO !  These are things I'm hearing. I want my money back.

Sounds to me like someone is auditioning for the GM job when Owen retires.  Things just got very out of hand since Owen took over. Years ago if you knocked off  CLP light or  a mirror on a tree limb you went and got it fixed no questions asked. Now it's considered an accident, and that's just nuts. As per Owen, if you brush a traffic cone or a barrel in the yard your filling out an accident report, he's fucking nuts. And if you agree with that your fucking nuts too. IT was never that way, and it's only Pioneer. Bono wasn't this nuts.  He's taking things to a sick level. A GM shouldn't go out of his way to hurt his people, he should be there to help them.  He should have said to Sue, "was there another vehicle involved", "did any body get hurt", "no ?", "than go on your way, see you tomorrow". The matron wasn't drinking on the job, she drank the night before until 1:00am, probably 6-7 hours before being on the job. She hung herself.  Owen makes something small into something big, he's a sick fuck.

What Owen does best is harass people. Once he has his victim in his sights, he don't stop. He starts by putting a camera in their bus, than giving them old busses to work with, bringing them in for bs hearings, ets.  The only one who truly deserved termination was the drunk. With old Carol, they made a mountain out of a mole hill. Who hasn't gone past busses with their signs out when you get to a school late ? Happens all the time.  Young Carol is simply being harassed.  Sue hit a fixed object, no one on the bus, could have gotten a pass. No one would have known, with all her years. Old Carol and Sue were handed to him on a platter without even a fight, because they had a history with him, if anybody knows. He made it personal, and no one will stop him.

Well, I hate to say it. To comment on his remark about leadership not defending its members.  The score for September is as follows.  Owen=2 , 1181=0. He's currently working on #3. He absolutely made each termination personal.  Sue should have gotten a pass with no kids on the bus, just the matron, hitting a fixed object, not another car.  Carol, he just had it in for her with comp cases. She did nothing to truly warrant termination. There are guys still on the job that have done worse.  He's not a good GM if he makes things personal, he's a tyrant.

I agree worker341. Michael once said in a recorded interview that we didn't lose our salary or any pay. But in my opinion he didn't tell the whole truth.  I personally lost over three thousand a year. That's a lot for a family to lose and a big lie if you ask me. I know he's working hard, but I want back what I lost,
