Very sad news. Silive.com has an article about one of our co workers and his son. They were both killed due to the storm. So sad..
John ( Flip ) Flipowitcz may he rest in peace , for those of us who knew John , you could not have met a finer person, quick witted , always ready to lend a hand , died while taking shelter in his basement with his son John Jr. John joined pioneer in 2009 and was a great asset to this company , a former Marine and New York City Correction Officer. He was always ready to lend a hand in any situation. A loving husband and Father, I'm sure John was doing everything he could to keep his family safe during this devastating storm. and it cost him and his son their lives. May they both rest in peace for they will be missed
