Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate voted Wednesday night to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from public workers after discovering a way to bypass the chamber's missing Democrats.

Poor democrats stayed away from there families for 18 days and being on the lam still got them nothing,Bupkiss.....Keep listening to Obama.  They cant even run away correctly,,,,,only thing they know how to do is spend money and redistribute wealth!

Let em object all they want....the only shame is the House should have done these hearings sooner.Perhaps if they did Fort Hood never happens and a few other homegrown pieces of garbage that should be executed immediately. After of course a Military Tribunal.

Buzz and John E. Both of you have brought up some great wisdom and philosophies to live by. Those also can be applied daily to even the non-retiree's thats why I thought it was so great! Reality is preception and

Ironic right? The thing Giuliani didnt do and probably would have helped us more....is the thing Bloomy did do.He had to twist arms, pay off and horse trade to even get the council to approve this. In contrast and what I thought then and facts show now is the 3rd term was a bad idea and yes we are suffering more for it.  What a political over reach...too much of that by people that are changing things for the worse...not the better.

this article is a great but longer then usual read...it points out some great things:
Under Bloomy the City prospered because of Cuts made at the Fed level that helped Wall Street, nothing to do with the Dictator.Bloomy hired more teachers having a ratio 13 kids for every 1 teacher....how come that isnt so in the classroom? Numbers on school academic success released were played with like Enron and what he boasted about is not true(student performance). Spending and budgets ROSE dramatically under him....and yet he promised to cut spending and be a "good manager". Anyway the lost goes on and on,if you missed todays paper check this out......you be surprised to see the picture painted by the writers,we actually have an egotistical maniac in charge....but you knew that already right?

This is what was talked about and feared. Thanks Mayor. Safety should be  first....but really he doesnt care at all.

Whats good for the Goose....

News and Views / The Fed Early Opt Out!
March 02, 2011, 01:41:37 AM
Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, Congress has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.

This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).

Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to Congress to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).

Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Congress deems appropriate.

Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Congress.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Congress has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.

Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your Congressman, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

Sincerely,
The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.)

PS - - Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

That much for a Route sign??? I am all for doing the right thing but we dont make six figures either, that fine(amount) is for someone making six figures,in my opinion.  That really is a shame....oes anyone know where the Fine money goes once it is given in/Paid?

Yeah....I have to agree.....his penny wise dollar foolish attitude has hurt this city more then helped it.Plus when you factor in his thoughts are more valuable then someone with a better idea just because its him...then its no wonder. I just dont get howhe believes any of his BS policy and nonsense makes people want to stay here long term. He also still till this day wont admit there are more traffic accidents at camera lights then regular lights,on a "light to light" basis. Again not the safety....its all about the $$$......which makes me wonder would he ever let his own company be bamboozled as the city was with the Citytime project??  :wink1:
