GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!
I just received a flyer in the mail from one of the other slates and my jaw dropped open. I have never seen a more unprofessional offering. First of all the pictures looked like a bunch of bad selfie's shot in a basement after a holiday party. Some so blurred the person was unrecognizable another just needed a number under his picture, it so much looked like a mug shot.
But that's not what surprised me the most. What did was their credentials or lack there of. "Director of a Bowling hall of fame "- For real?
"Vice President of a coop" this makes you qualified to represent us? Crazy.
When Henriot Jean-Louis is on your ticket a one term "Shop Steward" who can't walk and talk at the same time. One who has had the most basic of functions of a Shop Steward like the assigning of trips taken away from him on various occasions and who has been suspended for serious infractions,a "Shop Steward" who spends his days playing dominoes instead of doing his job.If he is on your slate then you have problems. Do I want this Rag-tag bunch of misfits representing me before the owners, before Politicians, union leaders and leaders in the community. I don't think so! Do I want to allow them to decide my future as a driver and be in control of my pension? NO WAY!
Now let's compare that to just one of the Delegates on the Cordiello slate Jimmy Hedge. (I have included his bio below). Besides these facts as ALL of you know Jimmy is an incredibly hard working member of the executive board who not only is highly respected in this industry but is also incredibly knowledgeable about the political, economic and social aspects of our industry. You go just about anywhere, DOE or City counsel or the Mayors office and he is known. Why because he has been fighting in these arenas for years.
His qualifications alone make it impossible to vote for one of the other slates. Use your heads and make your vote count.

John Eadicicco What have you accomplished in life besides throw stones? Why don't you include that I am retired NYPD and former delegate of PBA .... Yes I am the director of SI Bowling Hall of Fame which raises and donate scholarships to children in need... yes I volunteer on the Teddy Atlas Foundation where ALSO are a major fundraiser for needy families on Staten Island.... What do you do except denigrate people?

that is exactly why I am not running , because I felt unqualified and even though I have some years experience with Labor I would like to have more before I could imagine taking on the responsibility of representing the thousands of our members.

He will be waked at Casey's Funeral in Great Kills Thursday 11-20-14 at  2-4 pm and 7-9 pm
Church is friday 9:45am  St Claires  and burial to follow.

Two people I know tried posting to Salernos site and the posts were deleted.

So people pay attention..if and I say a huge IF they get voted in..this is how they will run our union.Underhanded and sneaky.And even deciding who has a voice in anything. Way to go losers.

Looks like Owen is back to Mr. Mean. He gave an old timer a bus, and because he seen the bus that he used to drive was dirty the next day he took the bus away. He calls the old timer back to yard and the man gets to cleaning the bus taking a couple of hours. And then Mr Mean decides to take the bus away anyway. Is he taking on the role of judge and jury again? Are we going to have to deal with this shit all over?
Where the hell is Neil? This man is taking this company down and spitting all over it. This man is a freak for power. Why the fuk isn't Neil seeing this. It's bad enough some in the office kiss his ass, do we have to continuously deal with this shit too?
We had to get accustomed to his bipolar ways and now we have heard some whispers in the yard about him eating some flesh, they say his new name is now Hannibal of Pioneer. Problem with that is he doesn't come up for air. He is not representing Neil is such a respectful way,. Can we vote him out? We hear even the office people hate him.

        I always knew our shop steward was different than the ones before him. His demeanor has always been different than others who held the position of Shop Steward. He has been known to be loud at times and yet sweet as honey. He is a great guy don't get me wrong. I stand behind him 100 %.He gets his point across no matter what. I have heard him argue with the owner many times and even won many issues concerning our co workers. Tonight I witnessed something I never would have dreamed of seeing. I looked around the yard and knew this man has pulled us together and tells us what it is we need to do. There hasn't been anyone before him that could do the things he does the way he does.
        During the strike many of us became close and formed friendships. But tonight for the first time in all my years I have never seen the unity that I seen tonight in the yard .I seen history in the making as Billy Haas stood side by side to Ernie and pleaded for us to stand behind Ernie. In the past there was always a bit of controversy between them. However tonight there was the bond of union workers coming together for a reason. The reason is for unity. And this my brothers and sisters is what it's all about. Standing together and having one voice.

        I realize the contractors are smelling blood and taking advantage of us at this point. But I believe Ernie will guide us all in the right direction. Together we are strong. And we must do as he says and stand behind him. We need to do our jobs by the book right now. It doesn't make sense to lash out and spite ourselves.

I really have to laugh,As I read the Pioneer Facebook page.

Some people really are pathetic when they resort to calling other people names and say who is two faced and go on and on about how hard a job it is, because they can't get their way.Maybe a little respect on their part will get them a little respect back. Name calling is not the way to do cupcakes.

Perhaps over the Christmas week off ,we should all reflect on being thankful we are still employed.And receive a pay check every week.And maybe when we come back to work we will realize our job isn't bad as we make it.

The mighty one is back on his self elected throne, let's keep a close eye on Mr.GM  aka Mr. Bipolar
First and foremost as  Mr. Righteous, at the beginning of the new school year is chasing drivers and attendants because their driving in the yard with their personal cars. One thing will never change he absolutely has zero  speaking skills or  the know how to speak with other human beings.
He is still talking down to and abusing the people at pioneer. An attendant went to the window speaking to dispatcher to try to find out about how to change a bus stop for her kid and in the middle of her talking Mr. Wonderful walks by and SLAMS the window in her face ..AND  get this..the reason he did that! IT WAS BEFORE 9am!!
Another one of our senior drivers was in the office to get a personal document and was CHASED
Out like a RABID dog by none other than Mr. Dog Catcher.
Some drivers even came in on their own time to try to make their first day a bit easier and got
Belittled and screamed at for trying to get their buses set up for a smoother running first day
And it was at the degrading mouth of Mr. You Know Who!

This man continues to demean every person that is around him. He is not Lord and Master.
He was not hired to degrade any employees of Pioneer transportation
Our past GM may have gotten upset and mad at you and even yelled but the man did it with the utmost  respect for you as a HUMAN!
And he never held a grudge for a driver or attendant who ever came before him for
a hearing. This one never fails to humiliate anyone who makes a mistake. Like he never
made a mistake in his life.
And the most upsetting thing I now have witnessed how he outright called a driver a liar
for being late to work. How dare he determine who lies and who doesn't?
How does he have the unmitigated gall to be judge and jury for a few minutes late???
And we are only in day four ladies and gentleman ,we are in for a rough year with
the almighty one!

When is Neil going to finally realize this was the biggest mistake he ever made for pioneer.
At no time did you ever see a GM scurry through the yard just to yell at someone for driving on property.
AND let me ask this. Why is he out there parking buses? Does he miss his yard days that much?
Hey Neil maybe you should demote him back to yard man!
What can we expect from Our Gracious Foul speaking GM now? I'm sure Neil will have his
Hands full this year. Why you ask? Listen to the disgust and talk among our fellow drivers
And attendants.

Excuse me Pioneer of Staten Island...
I have more years than you driving a bus. And I will tell you this.
Everyone who was/is unhappy with current elected board members took their frustrations out
on every one there. BUT not one of those frustrated bus drivers made a real attempt
at attending meetings. NOT just election meetings. I am talking about ALL meetings concerning
OUR  future. I HAVE attended each and every meeting. AND I have seen the decline in the members
not showing up BUT voicing their opinions about what SHOULD have and what SHOULDN"T have been
done, the  very next day AFTER meetings when they do nothing but sit around on down time and complain  like a bunch of hens in a hen house. You are just one of the many who complain and do nothing.
The current board doesn't make everyone happy. The past board didn't make everyone happy. The past board  before that didn't make everyone happy. Times have changed and the so called bus drivers we have  now don't depict what bus drivers were BACK than when we were respected and did our jobs without  complaining about minor crap.I can tell you this,the Cordiello Slate is promising and shows there can be things done in our favor.
What we're going to GET is incompetence, ignorance  of our needs. People who want to be elected and have no clue what they are doing there but sitting behind a desk and shuffling paper.
In addition I will add to this, I believe the shop steward in Pioneer does his job well he goes beyond
his abilities of what a shop steward is suppose to do. I have seen him do more than any shop steward
before him.And I am sure none after him will do what he does and have the compassion for us drivers the way he does. You may not like him, his personality or his demenor.Perhaps you are a disgruntled driver who doesn't like anyone. But I will say this, I have seen and heard him defend drivers that were not in  any way deserving of defense to anyone. They should by all accounts been gone long ago.
I believe your *abuse is coming from the GM and not even the owner of company. Who has even been spotted smiling to a few drivers. Not quite the way his dad did.But he does get an *A* for effort.
And  BTW with this administration we have received an increase in pay in a time
when people are losing their jobs and no hope for future employment.
I have friends who have served their companies for years and are now out of work who are taking
positions in McDonalds and gas stations.. Wal-Mart's and Home Depot.
In these economic  times we are lucky for what we have.
If you are that upset with this company or any other. You HAVE enough time retire. Get out out now.
while you can still walk run hop..see if you can get a job elsewhere that pays as your union scale does.
I wish you luck, but don't bad mouth and stain my UNION..Because it works for me.
