Quote from: PROUD MEMBER on May 22, 2023, 07:06:02 PMBuzz you are correct with regards to lunch hour pay. I recall when I use to do trips specifically to Manhattan and sometimes by the time we dropped them off at their destination it was already close to 11:00 and had to pick them back up by 12:30pm. And with the city traffic and lack of finding parking I'd just have to drive around for an hour or more and go back and get them. I would put in for the hour and get paid. That was probably 15 years ago but I never heard anything about that still not being in effect as of today.
thank you both buzz and proud member for the info nobody said anything about it ever ,I have a question if this still in effect how do we call it in do we have to call somebody or fill out a form ?

i have never seen that scenario no trips runs barely gets trips unless is over and above season and even then they get 1 or 2 a week

Yes, I inquired to make sure, it is still in effect (as I expected because I have never seen an MOA that specifically changed it). While you're on the trip call the office and tell them the situation and you'll get an hour's pay if warranted. There is probably nobody in the office besides Bobby and possibly Carmine who even know this but make the office aware anyway.

If you know, you know! (And now YOU know!)

BTW ... are you referring to the trip to Lincoln Harbor Park?
I am patient with stupidity, but not with those who are proud of it.

This was a great question and I posed it to our assistant shop steward and one of the "assistants to the assistant." The definitive answer is, the guy with the No-Trip run leaves.

The rationale is that by virtue of the fact that the other driver was the senior driver, he had the opportunity to pick the other guy's No-Trip run but passed it up in favor of his trip run. The guy with the No-Trip run had no choice in getting the "Over and Above" or he wouldn't even have been there.  He gets to leave.

I had never come across this scenario before. Very interesting ... thanks for bringing it up!!

Thanks for asking, I kinda thought the no trip run would have the right.
