Title: Correct Seating Lesson for OPT
Post by: Buzz on September 21, 2020, 06:13:13 PM
The seating chart that was on the back of the training sheet we were given, as provided by OPT, is incorrect according to CDC guidelines. I didn't realize it until I saw the big tape X's on my seats today. The company followed the diagram provided by OPT, as they should, but I knew immediately that OPT got it wrong.

The CDC clearly states, "Drivers can create distance between children on school buses, including seating children one student per row facing forward and skipping rows between students." Apparently this was not understood by OPT.

Here's how it should have been done (it does not change the number of kids on the bus) ...

Then again, these are the same geniuses that are having us sit by our schools for no perceivably logical reason.

Oh well ...

Come on Buzz I have more faith in you , the reason your sitting at empty schools is "the cryers that be "didn't want to collect 85% while doing nothing with junior drivers who have school that are Open are getting 100%  so people who may of had plans for the week now have to show up to earn that 15% ! Don't spend it all in one place .

You've got to be kidding me, big guy! You think I or anybody else wanted to do what we did today rather than sleep in and do whatever we were going to do today for a lousy 15% more? Get real!

The truth is, at 4:00 Sunday afternoon OPT informed the owners that this is what we'd be doing, in spite of their strenuous objections.

But this is why I crown you "King of All Shit Stirrers" ...  ;D ;D ;D

What is the story for tomorrow ? I didn't hear any dispatcher or see any signs saying we had to come in again tomorrow ...  I don't blame anyone but OPT for this nonsense !!! Talk about flying by the seat of our pants !!!
