I told you guys next week would work to our benefit, now I finally got the skinny:

ALL DRIVERS and ESCORTS WILL BE PAID FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK!! (week of 9/14)

Tenured drivers / escorts (hired before 2013) will get 100% pay for the entire week. Those hired from 2013 on will be paid 100% for Monday and Tuesday and 85% for the remaining 3 days.

Sorry guys. Apparently a miscommunication between the powers that be, but EVERYBODY will get paid 100% for Monday and Tuesday and only 85% for the rest of the week, including tenured drivers.

Therefore, NOBODY should claim unemployment for the week ending 9/20.

Medical coverage will be reinstated Monday, retroactive to September 1.

I know some of you guys have nothing good to say about our union, but let me tell you, these guys have worked day and night since the middle of March on our behalf trying to navigate through these uncharted waters doing the best they possibly could for us ... and I only know 1/100th of what they do.

The union fought to get us 100% pay ... even though the company is being paid at 85%. And the union fought to get the 2013 and on people a full week's pay instead of just two days. They do not have a 39-week guarantee.

And as unpopular as it may be to do, I have to give props to Neil for taking care of the tenured guys and the newer guys. He would have been within his rights to pay only 2 days to the newer people according to our contract. He also did not have to pay them the 85% back in the end of March, and April, for that matter.

Grateful for both parties for reaching a more than equitable agreement.

Full pay for Monday and Tuesday and then 85 percent for the rest of the week will surely net us a lot more than $504 or $441 if you have taxes taken out.

Exactly. Hey, I don't think anybody thought we get paid full days for Monday and Tuesday, much less anything for the rest of the week, so there shouldn't be any complaints.
