Teachers were out and about doing whatever before school started now all of a sudden are testing positive, the Jewish community just doesn't want to wear masks in Brooklyn. Cuomo said he wants to kids in school because that's where they belong

Totally unbelievable and again what happens going forward is out of our hands. People yell and scream that children need and deserve in person teaching but they refuse to take the necessary precautions to make that a reality.

And as we have learned in the past they will not shut down borough by borough instead they will shut down the entire school system.

It's the orthodox Jewish community, the Hasidic Jews. They don't believe in masks and they will not get a vaccine. So what's gonna happen with the drivers that have to take them to and from school after a vaccine has been out? Wasn't there an issue with them with a measles outbreak?

There are a 145 zip codes in NYC and because 9 of them had a % over 3 for one day the talk of closing down the entire school system has already started. SMH!!!

Actually if you have been watching the numbers it has slowly been ticking upward. Before Labor Day we were under 1 percent this past Monday we were 1.93 percent and Today 3.25. Let's hope it settles down quickly. I would hate to think what there numbers were because they brought the city wide average to over 3 percent. Meaning Brooklyn and Queens

im assuming the dental isnt in effect either?? I had an appt today i guess i need to cancel.  Cant get in touch with anyone at the union office either.

Ernie was told yesterday morning that everybody's benefits should be reinstated within 48 hours ... which would be some time tomorrow, Thursday.

(I don't know why it's taking so long ... say they were waiting for attendance sheets.)

Ernie says NO. And if a kid does have a temperature you cannot take them back to the stop. It's up to the school to handle that situation.

(If a teacher gives you a hard time, I would advise that you don't argue but contact dispatch.)

buzz do you know if we will be getting new id  cards.. my account still showing inactive ,and i called the 5800 number at union left message and no return call... my doctor runs your insurance for appointment so i cant even get an appointment and submit bill to andy or ernie...

Ernie told me previously the card would be the same.

When you log into your account it shows the same member and group ID numbers ... but says "Inactive."
