Lets cut through the red tape have a union meeting like we did in the pass Raise our hand and state what we want so all will know what we want and then sit back and let the EB work for us. Not anyone else. then we will see how long or short our contract takes. And how fast our Union works for us. Do you really think Neil is going to sign a contract in a few weeks when he has to cut our tenured checks we are not going to get what we lost back in our tenured checks this time around. Lucky if we get any kind of raise. My opinion Neil made a ton of money on our backs and it is too hard for him to give it back. Sorry people just my opinion.

There are too many different contracts out there and all of us in 1181 will not be getting the same salary or benefits I believe. Think about this for one moment if Pioneer had a shit contract and say another 1181 Co. had a better Contract what are we going to do go on strike I really don't think anyone wants that again and Neil knows that too. So we have to eat the shit and he gets richer. My point is we don't have a leg to stand on with or without a extension or the epp. Sorry this is just what I think, I really hope I am wrong about this.

Hope we get paid for those days. You know all the pvt. schools will be open and no extra days pay if you working with Pvt, Schools ( Catholic School, Jewish School etc. ) And of course Last day of School will be push to June 28. I see no bargian here for us. Hope our Union works on it in our new Contract where we get paid Extra if we work those days.

Eddie you do a great job for Pioneer and for all of us. I hope and pray you get well real soon we need you. It would be nice if our great boss post a get well for his workers when things like this happens to our Brothers ans Sisters on this Job. I quess that would be asking too much from him.

Well well well, now we all know what a nice contract we have no Feb. week for us but every other Co. gets paid for Feb. week. Maybe the next contract show your Balls and don't agree with the bullshit and say no way or we will hit the street to Mike and buddy Neil. What fools we are. The The law is 6 sick days for workers and we get none. Neil saids I will cut your pay again and again and again, What fools we are, sorry but we are. Round 2 comes Easter week.

Let me first say Thank you Owen for backing up a driver it was a well written letter. Now repeat all you wrote about what a driver has to do to make Neil rich. And let him stop the bullshit and pay us all fair wages and stop taking more and more away from us.

It will be nice to have a day off from work. However the bad part is we don't get a full days pay what a shame on our union and all us for lettimg this happen. Neil gets paid  I am sure for a full day and he laughs all the way to the bank. Our contract should be coming to a end soon and I think like most of my fellow workers think more cuts on the way. I hope our union could get some of these cuts back but I really don't think so. Neil will cry again and try the same old game on us I can't compete with these low paying Co. with low bids, But he did on our backs and got paid the same amount of pay for his buses. My point is please union and fellow workers don't fall for the same old game. Give us what we deserve better pay and benifits for all of us. No more give back please. Oh yes I know we are lucky we have a job. Stop the bullshit talk Neil and pay up you cheap fuck. 

Our contract should be up soon. I think we should all sign a pettion stating the number one thing we want is stop the opt out program.

I like to know how many city workers opted out. Again neil makes more money. what a shame, how did this ever happen. Who is at fault the Union or all of us. I quess we will never know until it is too late for us.

Seems like I had upset some people by my statement. This site is a good site, gives you a chance to vent like most of us do on this site. John I don't know how many years you have in Pioneer however you have many more years then me which makes you one of those seniors you said have their heads in the sand. My point is would you like to rotate trips or work in the summer, I don't mind if you would do my trips or work for me in the summer. So is your head in the sand too. As for city workers most of them are very nice people, and I am sorry if I offended most of them. However when it came to signing off on benefits and receiving $3,000.00 a year how many city workers ran to sign up for it. And yes the Union say it was ok. Is this still going on I really don't know does anyone know. And let us all remember Owen and Neil I believe also read this site as well as people from other Companies. My point is the more we vent the smarter they get. I end by saying Owen and Neil you have the best workers here in Staten Island treat us with respect and pay us what we are worth and stop taking back from us more money we all have families counting on us so stop tthe crying that you are losing money we all know it is bullshit. You are right in your post about our GM and Neil Etc. However you will never get these pussies on the job to ban together. The City Workers killed this job and the Union allowed it. Look around one day and count how many city workers have new buses. And the GM is a city worker. How many city workers lost their jobs. I don't know of any, do you. Neil only knows one thing he is making more money now then he has ever made in his entire life.The other ones who get new buses are the ones in the office. My point is you kiss ass with the office you win. You came from a city job you got it may. So the ones that are left are the working slobs like myself which are not many. So if you think for one moment that you can get people on this job to walk with you, you are dead wrong. However I do wish you luck, but it will never happen. For me I think I will be looking for a new job real soon.
