anyone know when we are paying the summer dues to 1181...  will it just be a surprise in the paycheck....  anyone know the current status of the welfare fund ?....   how was the recent yard inspection... was surprised there was not a single 1181 rep in front of the yard with the drivers and  escorts...   maybe michael will be at the next one..

Here's something to break the silence: Learned this morning that we have to pay for our medical benefits for the entire summer ... $240 to be deducted from our already reduced accrual checks! WTF!!!

I can only imagine what our next contract may bring.
When do the one sided negotiations begin? Do we have to help the company be more competitive again? "Make Pioneer Great Again".( For the workers )

Relax, everybody. Though the origin of this misinformation is unclear, we will NOT be paying for benes over the summer. Through a recorded conversation with Michael today, it was made clear that there will be NO DEDUCTION from our accrual checks or any payment of any kind for medical benefits through the summer.

There will, however, be a double payment for benefits from one of our remaining paychecks to make up for the 40th week ... just as was done last year. ONE additional deduction of $24. (Not $240!)

PHEW!!

Well things aren't as quiet as I thought. Besides the medical BS I have seen Vinny our delegate at the yard 3 times (maybe more that's how many times I saw him) in the last 6 days. I'm sure he's not there just to say hello!

I truly don't think you will be getting any details until it is time to sign a new contract.

I apologize I'm really not following ur question. All I know is June 30, 2017 the amount that will be deducted from our weekly check for medical will go up. At this time the amount is not a definite number. We will all find out when we come back to work in September and look at our first paycheck. On a few occasions I expressed my concerns to Michael & others about the exact amount and I was told the amount of the increase would be decided by the "trend." I was assured that it wouldn't be a drastic increase. Someone suggested it wouldn't be more than $7. We shall see. Then obviously the following June we will have to worry about if or if not another increase will be negotiated in the next contract.
