EVERYBODY should claim UI today/this week!
First thing it says when log on is if you have an existing claim you don't get stimulus relief? In yellow lettering? Buzz? Any thoughts?
Good Morning
I claimed for 1 day last week and got 540 extra

I keep looking on the Unemployment page and I don't see where it says that if you have an existing claim that you will not receive stimulus. Furthermore if you look at On Time's post he shows you that he got the extra money.
Just filed my claim again for this week. Had to put down the 8th as last day of work again,
fein number again as well other info we had to write in last week

If you have an existing claim you DO receive the extra $600 automatically. I know I posted this before but here ... https://www.labor.ny.gov/ui/cares-act.shtm
Yes I had an existing claim, I got 1 Day from pioneer and an extra 540 last week.
Guess they taxed 40 dollars of the 600. You can check view payments
When i went on to file it didnt ask last day of work or return date. It just said "you havent received benefits since feb 2020 is that bcz you worked"?. I clicked yes. Then it just said its been submitted for processing. That never happened b4. Did anyone else see this?

That notice is for PUA ... which does not apply to us. If you have an open book you get the extra $600 automatically. If you have to open a new book you have to say you're out of work due to COVID-19.
Again, I know I posted this before ... https://www.labor.ny.gov/ui/cares-act.shtm
Follow the flow chart.

Hmm ... that's unusual, but as long as it says it's been submitted. Check back and see if it says it's processing the claim or something like that.
Yeah it seems ok but i thought it weird.l that it didnt ask those questions as the usual.i guess ill check tomorrow to make sure it was processed.
Here's the bottom line just fill out your unemployment as you usually do with your opening a new claim or you have an existing claim. If your new hire you put down your last day of work was April 8 if you senior member you put down your last day at work was April 10. Return date for everyone is 4/20/20.
Everyone regardless if you file a new claim or have an existing claim will get their usual unemployment +600.

That's what I've been trying to tell you.
I left the return date blank, just my preference.
Also, if filing a new claim, you must say you're out of work due to COVID-19 to the get waiting week waived.
Yeah last week and this week I put last day of work the 8th and return date blank. Also had to fill in all the info again this week like we had to fill it out last week
Buzz hope all is well ! Can you verify we are still getting paid 85% from Pioneer after this week ? this was my last week on my book and have to open a new one ,so if we're still on the pay roll I'll hold off till June, thank stay safe
I opened new book on April 14th when I completed it was told someone would call back within 72 hrs. It is now Sunday and no call.
does anybody else have this problem? Also unable to go forward with a claim.

I was told that unless we hear differently it's back to the 85%.

Did you answer something wrong? Where it asked if you earned more than $504 from self employment did you answer NO or N/A?
In any event, if it were me, I'd be on the phone at 7:58 tomorrow morning and keep redialing ... you'll likely get a chance to talk to somebody at 8.
buzz they streamlined the application & only ask about 8 basic questions & when I finished they said I successfully completed all the questions & was told not to call them they would call me that is why I am wondering if this is normal because of the high volume of people claiming at this time I know they have all my info because I have been claiming for 15 years
My wife filed last week all 10 pages to open new book same as I always filled out , unless they changed it this past week . And received her check in our account UE & stimulus
in the last week they made the application much shorter & had google & apple work together to shorten it because so many people where leaving questions blank. believe they changed it Friday night April 10th

I also have not heard from them and I did it on the 14 th also. Today I checked my payment history and they still have my old claim info. I'm gonna try calling tomorrow
numbers I am curious to know if you where able to get thru on the phone & get your claim straightened out
Nope , I got thru on a different #, they took my social , pin and answered all the questions to certify for the week . When I answered the last question which was if I returned to work I said yes. Then I got a recording telling me my benefit year has ended & to file a new claim . Lol, that's what I did last week. I think their whole system is overloaded and they don't know what their doing . I think we have to give it more time and hopefully they call
thanks for answering I had no luck even getting thru I think I'll wait a few days & hope for the call good luck.
P. S. I went into my payment history , which shows my last year's claim , so that wasn't updated yet . But I sent them a message that I have not received my call back yet. Hopefully someone sees it lol.
F.Y.I. Fred, I went back online this morning and decided to try again to file a new claim. It came up that I had an unfinished claim so I continued to finish it. Then when I submitted it said I will get the call back within 72 hrs. Hope fully this time it will be good. Good Luck
I filed for unemployment as I usually do no different than last summer. I did it very early Sunday morning. I did get the extra $600 on top of the normal $504 today.
Holy crap! Just read that the maximum unemployment in Jersey is now $713 a week!
I'd say we're a little behind ...
fyi numbers got an email from dol to go on & complete my claim. was asked a bunch of questions about pandemic & none of the normal unemployment questions I was told again someone will call me with in 72 hours to complete claim
Weird. I didn't have any issues when I filed a claim. It was no different than the usual.

Spoke to another driver today who was having problems. She kept calling until she got through today and they straightened everything out and said her money would be deposited in a couple of days. That's your best bet. The system is all screwed up.
