President Trump extended the Federal unemployment (400 dollars)through executive order today. Payroll tax cut will also help when we go back to work.

Let's hope we would be able to get this for the month of August before we go back to work....

Hopefully the State will do what needs to be done. The State is to fund 25% $100, and the government will fund 75% $300.We shall see what happens.

Gotta see when it actually goes into affect. If we go back to work in September then it really doesn't matter so it would be nice for us to get this through August

Hopefully it will be retroactive.

i dont think its retro and i also reading that if the king governor doesnt agree to the 25% of the 400.00 we will get Zero ...and some UE big wigs says it will take months to build a new server to distribute the funds...  i guess time will tell...  give us back our buses and pay check this UE is just a stressful mess...

just checking the last UE stimulus was signed 3-27-2020 and the 600 was there when we claimed for easter week... so why would a 400. new payment take many months to get into our pockets.. if this is true more proof the whole system is set up to destroy anything the POTUS  does ...really sad country this turned into..

im with you...lets prayer the states agree and start payng our 400 extra...and im sorry i have been waiting all my adult life for the cuts to welfare and medicaid ... never a mention how generation after generation have been living off the system and yet we were thrown in the street and our medical taken away,then a temporary bone thrown our way (600.00) and that had to expire...really crazy if you try to figure out the thinking of our leaders...

Right now Trump is the only one who is trying to help us that's bkack and white.  If the dems want votes going against his orders and making our suffering more prolonged just means theyre putting nails in their own political coffins.  Bunch of assholes.  Im not even a political person and i see that.

King Cuomo already said today NY does not have the 25% so dont expect the 400.00 any time soon...

I never understood how Trump thought states would throw in $100 extra just because he said so. He had the right intentions but it was an unrealistic assumption.

I love how this is now a political forum. But I will add my two cents once again if you look at what exactly it is our president is trying to do it's contingent on other people assisting him hence his bail out of the executive orders he is trying to pass. If you can't see he is trying to use this to help buy his re-election then take off your sunglasses. He still needs the support of congress and they aren't so eager to support him. Politics is an ugly subject and both sides suck right now. Just remember the Dems had their plan in place in May the great Republicans still can't get on the same page. Either be honest about everything or try at least not to be so bipartisan.

Someone better do something soon! Ill take whatever they want to give!

What was the Dems plan? To back BLM and Antifa? To keep the country closed and in turmoil with protests and riots to try to hurt Trump's chances? To defund police? Because the facts are the facts the Democrats pushed through the Cares Act and they were trying to do the same with their new proposal. You can try to blame the collapse of the talks on them when in fact it's the republicans who are not on the same page.

You don't have to be super intelligent to see the bigger picture beyond the money. If you look at the cities and states that have had the worst violence and lawlessness and the party that those places (starting with NY) are controlled by, and that doesn't speak to you loud and clear, there is nothing I could say to make you think any differently.

Lol so now the mishandling of the virus falls on the Democrats and not the Great Donald Trump. I am not a big fan of Dumblasio or Cuomo but the facts are the facts under their guidance and restrictions along with NJ and Conn we have some of the lowest infection rates in the country hovering somewhere around 1 percent. Listen I really don't want to continue this silly argument because it can go on for days. But if you can't agree that the current situation we are in falls on them ALL and by that I mean the President, the Republicans and the Democrats then this conversation is futile. Much like the inept job the DOE is doing with potentially opening the schools here in NYC so is the inept job coming out of DC concerning the whole COVID 19 situation. When everyone is willing to admit that EVERYONE is to blame we can move forward on all of this. Rome wasn't built in a day nor was it built by one person.

Hammer I read that you credit the Democrats for all the stimulus benefits we received. The Democrats only have control of the house of representatives, bills have to pass the Senates then the approval of the President.  You can't get anything approved without the meeting of the minds.

Obviously it's not the Republicans only. Both sides are not on the same page. And I'm not talking about the citizens, I'm talking about the Politicians. Even though our opinions mean something but when it comes to law it's the Politicians on both sides of the aisle that we put into office that make the rules!

i respect everyones opions,and yes it is all sides that need to come together for the worker,and it doesnt seem to be happening... we have really been against ropes ... tossed in the street in a matter of a few hours,no benefits our boss is holding our accural checks and opt out checks... and noone has answers for us... any word on the arbitrations...

Steady, that is where I guess I am being misunderstood I am not crediting any one side with the success of the Cares Act or the failure to pass either of the current stimulus packages. The Democrats and The Republicans share equally in both situations. Unfortunately on both sides the political agenda seems to be more important than people's every day needs to survive. We as a country are in trouble and as a country we need to pull ourselves out of said trouble. Politicians on both sides of the fence need to realize the importance of the bills they pass because it is matter of survival for a lot of people. I truly don't side either way in politics I usually sit back listen and vote for whom I think has our best interests at heart.
