Students will be able to opt in to blended learning between Nov. 2 and Nov. 15. Hope this isn't a significant increase in ridership. Most of us, not all, have been fairly safe with low numbers of kids on buses. But every day schools close anywhere from one day to 2 weeks due to COVID. More kids going to school could only increase the number of cases.

Then you have Joe Borelli leading parents in a law suit against the city for 5-days of school. Again, this could only mean higher numbers in both riders and COVID cases. I think for many of those parents it's a matter of convenience.

seems that the numbers in school have been released yesterday and dibozo and the guitar playing mexican were surprised how low the in class attendence is... it seemed they were basically begging parents to opt in to classroom in the coming weeks... lets hope the numbers dont jump and ridership goes up... its been pretty safe as you said buzz,at least i feel that also..

Well it appears Dumblasio and Caranzza missed their potential hybrid learning mark by a long shot. And after speaking with family today it seems they have pushed up the last day you can opt in to hybrid learning to Nov. 15th. My cousin said the email was very much matter of faculty almost like they were forcing the parents to make a definitive decision. With the covid numbers going up every day I doubt it's going to help much.
