Been trying for an hour to get a COVID 19 Vaccination!!! Whole island is booked solid !!!
As I mentioned in the "Vaccine" thread, call this drug store and tell him I sent you (real name). Another driver did it yesterday and he gave him an appointment same time as me.
Hylan Care Pharmacy
1509 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10305
Hours: Open ⋅ Closes 8PM
Phone: (718) 400-8408
JUST CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT!
(I ran into the same problem but I don't think that they're all booked but that they don't have the vaccine yet.)
Ok ... Thank you !!!
No good ... they are booked for the next two weeks ...
Go to nyc health dept web Page I answered a few questions if I am eligible ,a list of locations comes up and I made a appointment for this Sunday at SI Tech hope it helps
Buzz, That pharmacy just called me and canceled my appointment because the city shorted them on vaccines, what a fucking joke. This whole thing is a joke

I just don't get it. Went to a couple of websites and Tech never came up yet so many people got appointments there.
My appointment was for Friday, the city was supposed to give them 1000 doses instead they only gave them 100. Then I just got another establishment on the phone after waiting for hours, the place in Eltingville. I finally got them on the phone and they said they have no appointments available. This is a fucking joke, New York sucks
Just out of curiosity I went to the city website again. Tech finally came up ... but no appointments available. UGH!!
That's exactly what I was told on my third attempt with a different facility, I'm done! It's an absolute shit show
And the city was talking about opening schools to full capacity seeing as though the vaccine is out. Well they shouldn't open up the schools to for compassionate until every single individual who comes in contact with the student is vaccinated, and it's their responsibility to make sure it happens. Right now, once again it's an absolute shit show
Whelp, just found out that my appointment for Friday was cancelled also. Supposed to be 1000 doses, only got 100. This means they can only give it to 50 people because they have to have enough for the second dose.
Back to square 1.
LMAO
Once you made ur appointment and it said
Your Name
Location
Appointment date & time
Then when you hit
Yes, Submit Application
After that did you ever get an email with an
Appointment ID number???
Just got my first shot @ WAGNER HS ... its for DOE only ...I stretch the truth a little....when i got there they ask me if I was DOE ... i said I'm not employed by DOE but i work for the DOE cause I'm employed by a private contractor as a school bus driver... they said no problem ...Wagner HS site is run by NYFD ...they just gave me the shot ....no ID or anything

But did you have to make an appointment online? How?
Went thru ....http://vaccinepod.nyc.gov....ask me if i was a DOE EMPLOYEE ... I said yes and it directed me to Wagner HS site....I also got a confirmation E-mail with a appointment ID and scannable bar code
Proud member , No I did not someone else that I know did receive a confirmation email from the same place so now I don't know what's going on I took a picture of my confirmation page we will see what happens ! On a side note they had 300 people scheduled for today and only had a 100 doses total shit show
WigWag
What did they say about the second shot?
Some slots available at SI Tech for monday 18th for the Vaccine
I just don't get it. Now when I try to schedule an appointment I get this:
You are ineligible to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine based on your answer to this screening question. (Doesn't say which question.)
Tried at least a half-dozen times. WTF
First off thanks stereo ! Ok so this is the most frustrating thing trying to make an appointment please make sure if you make your appointment on the health dept web page you get a confirmation ID # and follow up email to verify your appointment if it goes back to the beginning it did not go through and you have to fill out the info again ( took me 3 tries today ) my last post I did not realize you needed the ID# and email so I redid it and finally got through ...........there seems to be a lot of opening at SI Tech next week if interested

Holy crap, LMAO! You finally posted some useful information! THANK YOU! I was able to get an appointment at Tech for next Thursday.
BUT...The email says,
"You will receive a reminder email on the morning of your appointment with additional screening questions. You must complete these questions to receive a QR code (scannable bar code). If you have not answered the additional questions or received a QR code, your appointment may be delayed."So who knows if that morning they tell you it's a no go???
Buzz have some faith man lol. But seriously anyone making there appointment through that site is getting the same email about the morning of the day they are supposed to get the vaccine. I think getting an appointment through that site is more positive than calling someplace directly.
I heard this morning that in Jersey they were given 650 thousand doses and less than half have made into people's arms. I think once it's truly up and running the problems will become much less than they are now.
Holy shit I finally did it, I got an appointment at Staten Island tech. I didn't get a confirmation text or email, but I took a screenshot of my appointment confirmation. Like a couple of other guys it took me three shots to do it, the page freezes every once in a while. Fingers crossed!
Omg, it took about a day to get the confirmation email. Glad to see so many of us are getting the vaccination.

Well, yesterday there were no appointments available anywhere. The US Dept. of Health advised states today not to hold back second-shot doses and that would automatically double the number of people they could give first shots to, and that is probably why we have been abe to make appointments today. Who knows if that's enough for next week.
I'll believe it when the needle is jabbed into my arm.
Buzz it doesn't pay to be nice( to you ) ! I could of rode you on them shutting you out but this is to important especially for a old decrepit like yourself 😂 but I luv ya man !
OMG I did the same thing the other day found out it's wrong you need to have the confirmation code to even get in the building according to the confirmation email read my earlier post don't want you to get shut out the web site kept throwing me back to the beginning keep doing it till i got the confirmation page .
If you have a appointment it won't let you fill out the forms again
LMAO, just got my confirmation e-mail. I'm in !
Fantastic 🎉🎉🎉🎉

What did they say about the second shot?
I went back on http://vaccinepod.nyc.gov/ and checked box for second dose and made an appointment for Feb 10 had to be 28 days after first. You get a confirmation e-mail a little will after you make appointment. Then on the day your going they send you another e-mail which will ask you questions like if your sick or had another shot like the flu shot in the last 10 days. You submit those answers and then you get another e-mail with scannable code but all you need is the confirmation number you got in the first e-mail. You give this number to person at the desk at the vaccination site and they'll know who you are. After you get the first shot you get another e-mail with the link above and that will take you to the appointment site for second dose... Good Luck
I thought it was 3 weeks for the second shot. You're saying 4? And I thought you were supposed to make the 2nd appointment at the site when you go for the first one.
Found the answer to my first question ... 3 weeks apart for Pfizer, 4 weeks for Moderna,

When I went to http://vaccinepod.nyc.gov/ and checked the box for second dose.... Wagner HS was my only choice. That's were I got my first shot.
