I don't understand. We were given appointment "slots." Why should there be 2 hours of waiting on line? This is going to SUCK! Anybody?

Buzz, I had an appointment at Port Richmond HS yesterday and yes the wait was two hours or better. They did apologize and stated the reason for the delay was the inability to get the computer side of the process up and running for almost two hours along with it being the first day for the site being open. I also think part of the problem was their kindness towards the elderly. They were showing up early and playing the game saying they couldn't stand and they needed to sit. So then they were brought inside and eventually they jumped the line and got their shot long before their appointed time. And trust me there were plenty of them that played the game. But most people that were on that line waited for their appointed time to be called. I got there 3:15 for a 3:30 appointment and my time was not called till around 5:40. Hopefully it gets better.
When did you receive the WR code email I have an appointment this morning and still haven't received it ... but I do have a I'd code
Well, I hope things aren't the same at SI Tech next week. Their instructions are pretty precise in the confirmation email.
Faceit , they didn't ask for the QR code but if you want to be sure log in to the Vaccinepod site that's where the additional questions are. After you answer them they will send you another email with the QR code.
All they asked for was your ID number and your drivers license. I suggest bringing your OPT card and a pay stub just in case.

The only options I see are to reschedule or cancel. My expectations from the city weren't very high to begin with.

I ended up login back in answering the questions and a few minutes later got the QR when I went there they did ask for it
I don't believe that the additional questions you need to answer are available on the vaccinepod site until the morning of the day you are scheduled to receive the vaccination.

You should get an email the morning of the day you are scheduled. The link takes you to vaccinepod site and you have to sign in and just answer the questions. Once finished you will receive another email with the QR code.
The questions pertain to how you are feeling if you have been exposed to covid 19 and such. That is why it's the day of. Because they encourage you to reschedule if you answer any of the questions opposite of the answer they want.

Uh oh ... just read this on Facebook regarding SI Tech today, some said they were on line close to 3 hours ...
"They had the original email confirmation for 12:50
But they send another one the morning of appt to give you the QR CODE; for some reason there was a glitch in the system and they didn't have that
It was apparently a big issue and they sent those people home
It was terrible and I think that it held up the process
Also they only have 6 nurses
I had a great experience there in and out 40 min"
Can anyone else give feedback on your experience at Staten Island technical getting the vaccine?
Ok update on shot ! Had 11:20 appointment today at SI Tech arrived 11:05 taken right in no line given shot and than you have to sit for 15 min ( to see if your ok ) out the door in 20 min hope all go that well Good Luck
P.S. all they asked for was confirmation # and photo ID also they will help you make your 2nd appointment if you want same web site you would sign in to

Yeah, looks like they're getting their act together. Passed by Tech about 11:30 and there were maybe 10 people waiting outside. An hour later I took this pic (attached). Even fewer!

Appointment canceled for tomorrow at Staten Island tech, claiming shortage of vaccine. So far two failed attempts to get the vaccine. But at least this time they were kind enough to reschedule me, third times a charm
