Title: Today's Testing Email
Post by: Buzz on October 05, 2021, 01:21:54 AM
Dear All Pioneer Employees,
In accordance with Executive Order No.78 all employees must either provide proof of full vaccination or on a weekly basis provide proof of a negative COVID-19 diagnostic polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. If you have only been partially vaccinated you will need to submit to weekly testing.

MANDATORY COVID-19 PCR testing will be available at:

2890 Arthur Kill Road - Every Tuesday and Thursday between 8:00 am-10:00 am

751 Zerega Avenue - Every Tuesday and Thursday between 8:00 am - 10:00 am.

Testing is free and convenient - results are sent directly to us!

But it's interesting that the consequences of testing positive have never been mentioned. Hmmm...

I know a few fellow workers in the the past that they had COVID and had to take off and got paid for 10 working days. If that policy has changed in the past few months I don't know. What I do know is that two consequences of testing positive is that even though sometimes you don't have the symptoms you will find out that you are positive and can seek medical attention and also by not coming to work you will not be able to transmit the virus to other workers which are obviously two good consequences. As far as getting paid as I said I don't know if that is still in effect but as much as we all need the money obviously that is secondary to everyone's health.

There's a sign on the window and around the office that says if you test positive stay home and quarantine it's the law.....

But it would be pretty wrong again to not pay us for something out of our control. Vaccinated or unvaccinated you can still test positive.

Yep, I stand corrected ... I noticed it this morning. I would make sure the office TOLD me to quarantine to make sure I get paid. (Yes, you still get paid.)

Yes but if you didn't get tested through the company you must show proof of positive test results first.
