That's one thing I don't get ... If they're short a couple dozen drivers, why is like playing musical chairs to get a spare bus? There should be a surplus.

It seems to me that dispatchers don't know or don't want to know  what buses are available to use Im going thru hell everyday trying to get a decent bus I don't know how some of these spare buses still pass inspection

So much for her statement ! IS 72 has a 10 day closure ! I know most of the closure will be during the break but can other Schools be far behind ? We shall see !!

I think she meant as a whole, for the state and/or city. I think schools will resume after the break but may go to remote after a week or two. It would make more sense to just have remote the first 2 weeks after the break when it's almost certain infection rates will be high.
