Title: Yesterday's Bus Accident
Post by: Buzz on September 21, 2024, 01:52:19 AM
My understanding is the van veered over into the bus's lane. I believe the driver is okay but he suffered a broken ankle, I'm told. (Bus 372, I think.) Don't know if there were kids aboard.

I don't think you have to be a subscriber to see this article. LMK

In case there was any question as to who was at fault ...

(No kids aboard. Driver will be out 4-6 weeks with a fractured foot)

Video is from a Vinny's bus dash cam.

Anyone want to take an estimate as to the speed of the incoming car after seeing the video and damage ?

To me, the speed doesn't seem excessive. He failed to negotiate the curve. Wipers aren't on so it's not raining ... either texting or dozed off would be my guess.
