Yep, it was confirmed at the meeting that the union is definitely taking the company to arbitration over the coverage pay if necessary. Let's see what happens.
Maybe minds will change and see this can be costly . Either way way the union did the right thing in seeking mediation form a third party to look into the interpretation. Isn't about winning or losing but fighting to the end .

The cost of arbitration is a drop in the bucket to him ... especially considering how much money is at stake.
Also ... sorry to disagree but it
IS about winning.
I have to agree with Buzz.
Just like now a days in little league where every team win or lose gets a trophy.
Do you really think the Coaches & Dads believe in that or do they want their kids to win?
Obviously it's about the fight but the most important thing is the result. Especially when it comes to money!
Let me clarify . Since we started school it seemed like we were taking the punches and on the ropes and no one wanted to punch back . Damn right I want to win . The first step is standing up to the bully and punching him square in the nose and then go from there .
No matter how bad the chaos is, morale is and how badly we are short drivers he was making money the whole time . I find it all hard to believe every rumor and threat made along with the CFO who is still gainfully employed after costing the company hundreds of thousands .
So I hope we come off the ropes and score a knockout . All of this was fueled by years of bad contracts and abject nonsense . Just not fair to us drivers .

Off topic, but since you mentioned Little League, Carmine's first-cousin-once-removed ... Uncle Ned's grandson ... was on the South Shore team that went to the LLWS. I believe Jason is front row, second from left, number 5.
