Post by: Buzz on August 13, 2025, 08:32:11 PM
As per Anthony:

Special ed runs coming down on the 20th. Regular ed not coming until the 22nd.

Pick is on as scheduled.

Less than three :thumbdown:  days to look at the runs a little unfair no? :thumbdown:

"IF" the General Ed runs come down on the 22nd then that would mean we will only be able to look at them on Saturday and Sunday (assuming the drivers room is open Saturday & Sunday). Common sense would dictate that the pick (at least Gen Ed) should be postponed as it usually is. And if it's not, that only gives Carmine 6 days (including the weekend) to figure out the Run Coverage. He may be good at it but that's really cutting it close.

I already asked as to when the runs could be viewed but did not get a definitive answer yet. For gen ed I would think that weekend would be a must ... but what do I know?

I had also questioned if the pick would go on as scheduled and was told "yes."

@PROUD MEMBER  - "Common sense?" Seriously?  ;D  ;D  ;D

Don't shoot the messenger.

Come on Buzz  :wave: ! We haven't pick in Sept in a few years that's what he meant 😂!
The more important question is how many retired ? And how far do I move up ? 🤔..................

I remember when Senority actually meant something but for the past 10 years or so it really doesn't make much of a difference if you're #50 or #250.
Having said that this will be the first year in a long time that seniority does make a big difference. Reason being is with the increase coming in October with the Unemployment rate come the end of June, nobody (with the exception of members that work a 2nd job)is going to want to work summer school. So all the bottom guys will be forced to work it.

I don't know how many retired however I heard the union is looking to push you down in seniority ... meaning lesser seniority, not greater!  :))  :))  :))

I don't know if it's really going to make that much difference. With all the money people make covering work during the year a lot of them decided not to work even this summer.

They are not posted and may not even be posted this weekend. I'll update if that changes.
