Some of you are apparently unaware of an "old-tyme," unwritten rule of the road for CDL drivers whether it be truck or bus.
If an oncoming vehicle flashes their bright lights at you it means they are giving you the right-of-way. Whether it's to make a left turn in front of them, to pull out of a street or driveway, to tell you it's okay to change lanes in front of them on the highway or whatever.
They are yielding to you! They are telling you to go first, they are letting you go ahead of themselves. Capeesh?
School buses show their gratitude by turning on their flashing yellows for a couple of seconds. MTA buses will flash their 4-ways to say thank you and tractor-trailers will either do that or flash their marker lights to acknowledge the courtesy.
I thought this was common knowledge, but not so. Take it from me! I'm semi-professional! :rotfl:
Always remember when lifting heavy objects use your back not your legs :))

That's great advice but I make the fat kids get on the bus on their own. ;D ;D ;D
I can't tell you how many times just in general I'm at a stop sign waiting to go and here forms a a school bus from Pionner or IC and no consideration to stop help let me go, they just go right on by lol...young and old drivers

Unfortunately that's true. I try for the most part to extend a courtesy .... except for scab companies. But there are times you try to let the other person go and they just don't get it.
Can we also mention the rudeness of some of our drivers not waving back as we pass one another? It doesn't have to be a full on wave  just some kind of acknowledgement would be nice

There are assholes in every job!We certainly have our share ! I pass the same drivers in the same spots during the course of my day , I always wave , If I pass you 10x a day I will wave each time and the same assholes never wave back! It's not like they don't see you in a Gigantic yellow bus because they certainly do .. They are just as I said "Assholes"!
More times than not I feel the windshield glare makes it impossible to see a wave on the part of either driver. Or, it's not a good time to take my eyes off the road just to see if somebody waved back.
I don't really care ... as long as it's not the one finger wave. ;D ;D ;D
I remember Vic said "he was going to get one of those hands on a spring that waves back and forth and just hit it when he passed another School Bus!! Lmao !
I wave to every school bus that passes me every single day. Whether they wave back or not the next day I wave again. There was one driver that I passed every morning for just about three years and she never waved back. Finally one day I got to see what her palm looked like!!!!! It made my day!!!!
For that matter, there are people you pass in the drivers room or yard that won't even say hello.
