Chancellor FariƱa Announces Schools are Open Tomorrow

DOE Website

All School Field Trips Are Cancelled

Due to anticipated inclement weather conditions, all school field trips will be cancelled tomorrow, Thursday, February 13, 2014. Schools will be open. Families with busing questions should contact the Office of Pupil Transportation at 718-392-8855. Parents, as always, should exercise their own judgment with regard to their children. Safety is a top priority for the Department
Chancellor stated on news that the kids could be fed at school and the parents have to go to work. This was the consideration for her decision to keep schools open.  Who is babysitting for presidents week? How will they eat?

This is what they put out there to make it sound like they give a sh!t about the kids. It's all about the money ... the government aid they'll lose if they close!

Why do about 50% of parents send their kids anyway? Well, I saw a neighbor of mine getting ready to take his daughter to school. When I asked him why, he said, "If I keep her home she'll drive me crazy all day."

And that about sums it up.
