Highest pay in industry, great union benefits what a fucking joke! It should say lowest pay no holiday pay 10 percent of salary toward healthcare that you can't get for a year! BTW Jofaz starting pay 20 dollars an hour.

That's the .position I'm in Buzz, I will have 5 years in December,I honestly don't think I would stay here if that was the contract and I'm not the only one.

If ownership had everyone paying 50 percent of there medical,it would be a hell of a lot more than 85 dollars a week.People who are unrder new contract are paying 9.5 percent of total salary for single coverage which comes out to 70 plus dollars a week.

Why won't the owners put a damn pay scale in for people hired after April 2013! People will not stay at a job were the discrepancy in wages is so large,I hope the union understands this. If Neil or the union think that there is going to be a surge in applications to work at Pioneer for $20 an hour there naive or crazy. Ownership doesn't even offer a pay raise for the fifth year for new drivers which means a zero percent for a full year.Insulting to say the least. Its my hope that union will get rid of this new contract bullshit and have everyone under one contract.

Also drivers who have been in union almost 3 years need payscale retroactive to day they joined union!

There are people working here over 5 .years that are still making 18.21 An hour. The union and Neil better come to an agreement with a pay scale, holiday pay, snow days and a health plan that doesn't cost  almost 10 percent of drivers salary.

1181 Matters / Sick Days
May 01, 2018, 02:53:21 AM
Has anyone heard if Neil is going to pay drivers under the "new contract" for there unused sick days? If not I know many drivers who will be burning 5 days between now and June 26,myself included.

1181 Matters / Contract negotiations
April 24, 2018, 01:50:00 AM
According to Andrew, tomorrow begins contract negotiations with Neil.My hope is that the unions position is one contract for all!.I personally can't hold out much longer with the salary I'm being paid.In my 5th year and still at bottom of pay scale,no paid holidays, snow days plus people under the new contract pay 9.5% of salary for health plan. This is going to be a make or break contract for myself and others who have held on believing the union and Neil will do the right thing.Im not very optimistic.

Work Related / Threatening letter in drivers room
January 19, 2018, 02:59:56 AM
So after I pick my run today, I see a letter stating that if drivers refuse work this summer, they face termination.I would estimate a shortage of 20 to 25 drivers as of now and it's only going to get worse.Low pay and inferior benefits have caused many Pioneer drivers to leave for non union companies.Instead of threatening drivers with termination, management should instead work with the union to increase the pay and benefits.

Work Related / Transfers to Bronx??
December 10, 2017, 01:51:28 AM
Saw a sign posted in drivers room yesterday about people transferring to Bronx yard. How can they afford to let drivers transfer when runs aren't being filled?
