Although I obliterated them here, the  bus and plate numbers were clearly visible on Facebook. A school bus is like a giant billboard on wheels. People notice every thing you do. Not a good look.

I am seeing this everyday. Some buses don't care stop signs, red lights, driving on the wrong side on bridge to avoid traffic. we are lucky that we haven't seen major incident, as all other drivers are giving way to these buses. 😕

Well, we all have the pictures and the plate number, so anyone who's concerned can report it to the bus company and police. The school bus drivers usually should have an exceptional driving record to get the job.

Never noticed before but it looks like Google automatically blurs out phone numbers.

So you pull up to one of the shop bays to get a bulb or something before leaving in the morning. Then you have to back out. Other buses coming from the back of the yard can plainly see that the bus along side you is blocking your view.

Do they stop and let you back out safely? Fuck NO!! At least 3 buses zoomed past me this morning with no fucks to  give. I won't post the bus numbers but they know who they are.

No fucking camaraderie in this place any more. No consideration from people who will expect it when it's them in the situation. It's a damn shame. It takes but a few seconds to extend a little courtesy. Apparently it takes even less time to be a douche bag.

Although I was pleased to hear from Jacob today it saddened me to know what he is going through. The pictures are the only 2 he sent me and the screenshot is part of our conversation, which is self-explanatory. He is really suffering adverse effects of the treatment, of which I'll spare you the details. He is a true warrior. It is with his permission that I share this with you here.

I mention this because it has become obvious that some people are unaware:

If you work during the Spring Break you will get a day's pay (8 hours) plus 4 hours for each day worked.  In addition you will get Easter accrual (a.k.a. Wage Adjustment) if so entitled.

If you don't work you will claim unemployment and you will get Easter accrual (a.k.a. Wage Adjustment) if so entitled.

Maybe a little advance notice just in case somebody wanted to go?

According to people who have already sat through the Spring Refresher, this is how long it lasts ... 2 hours and 45 minutes. I can't ... 

I just hope no kids are on board when one of these things goes up in flames.

This may apply only to work done at night, but beware!

And I thought our schools are bad.

Driver didn't check after his junior high a.m. run. Goes on to his elementary school run and the junior high kids wakes up. Driver eventually gets the kid to his JHS but the school reported the incident to OPT. Driver is fined over $400. Expensive lesson but nothing compared to what could have happened.

Second time in as many months that something like this happens. In the first incident the driver was even luckier. The parents called the school and told them they didn't want the driver reported, that they love him and don't want him to get in trouble. The also called the driver and APOLOGIZED to him for their child having fallen asleep. Nothing ever came of the incident. Can't ask for a better outcome than that!

Sorry to say that Richie Carey has passed. Many years of fighting his illness is over, suffering ended. Will post arrangements when I get them. Condolences to his family.

Temporary for now ... but you know it's just a matter of time.
