Pioneer Driver Hit By Car Yesterday

One of our drivers was hit by a car crossing Arthur Kill Rd. yesterday. I don't know him personally but his name is Arjon. (Probably know him by sight.) Another driver said one of our buses stopped to let him cross but a car went around the bus and hit him. No update on his condition yet. (Thanks to Glofnut for the alert.)

Just spoke to a driver who was in touch with Arjon's family and, unfortunately, the guy in in rough shape. Broken leg, (which I was told he needs an operation on), broken ribs and apparently a head injury as he has no recall and in unaware of his surroundings.

Thought and prayers ... that's about all we can do, I'm afraid.

Was also told he used to drive 953 but was recently downgraded ... if that helps anybody know who Arjon is. I'd have to see a picture.

I just now came on here to say I inquired about this earlier today and am told that Arjon is "okay," is in rehab now and will be for a short time. Good news!
