Not a guaranteed week

Ernie says this is not a guaranteed week so we'll get paid for days worked plus the holiday. (Not sure if that applies to new hires.)

You sure about the holiday buzz? I thought you had to work the day after the holiday to get paid for it? I think only people that worked Tuesday will get the holiday. As always, I could be wrong

actually u need to work the day before and the day after holiday but who knows

Can't say I'm certain beyond what Ernie texted me. Possibly he's remembering the "old days" when you would get paid for a holiday if you worked any day in a week in which there was a holiday.

I'll try to get a clarification today.

Checked again with Ernie this morning and asked if he was sure about getting paid for the holiday. He said, "That's what they told me."

Well, Ernie told me this afternoon that Neil reversed course and we WILL get paid 5 days for last week.

It only makes sense. If he just paid us for the days worked and the holiday he would have had to pay us a full week at the end of the year. Last day of school is on a Tuesday so it would have cost him more.
