If this happens and just say that the rest of the companies that have contracts with the city stay status quo then what happens with the drivers that currently work for Reliant?
Do they keep their jobs and remain 1181 members?
Do they lose their jobs?
Do they keep their jobs but are no longer 1181?

I think the end out come for any company bought by the city will
Then make the drivers city drivers which long term
Is great for the drivers.

Would be a problem with retired city employees who are drivers. Pioneer has a high percentage of retired city workers as do other companies. Would add to driver shortages.

It could be very similar to when the city acquired The Command Bus company they continued to fall under 1181 and were not made city employees. The city may just be looking for better control over these poorly run companies but I doubt they will become city employees. Too much red tape for that.
