I'm starting the training program with pioneer soon and I was wondering if anyone can elaborate on your contract. The paper work I was given doesn't seem to match what I've read on indeed.

What's the starting and top out pay?

The sheet they gave me says 23.97 to start and top out is 26.45 in 2028.

What are adjustment weeks?

Is 39 weeks guaranteed or after 1 year?

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

Welcome to Pioneer, ATU 1181 and the 1181drivers.com message board! I can't speak for Indeed and don't know where they get their info or how accurate it is.

The sheet who gave you? July 1, 2027 starts the last year of this contract so where did you get a figure for 2028? Pay rates for that year will be determined by a new contract.

Starting pay right now is $23.97. Top pay right now for someone here 7 years is $37.55. As of July 1, 2027 it will be $41.03/hour. (It will be more by the time you're here 7 years because we will have a new contract by then.)

Adjustment weeks are weeks that shorten the school year due to Christmas and Spring breaks for which you are compensated. After one year you will get a week's pay for one break or the other depending on whichever comes first after your anniversary date. After 2 years you get both break adjustments.

The 39 weeks guarantee is after one year. Prior to that it's 38 weeks or actual weeks worked.

If you have not already done so please get a copy of the last contract from the shop steward or his very able assistant.  :wink_cheesy:

If you have any more questions, feel free to post them here.
Hope this helps!!

(Please Note:If you saw this before I had a chance to correct it, I originally outlined the wrong boxes on the chart. The chart is read diagonally. This is the corrected version.)
