I think we lost alot more then money. Our boss has been robbing all of us for a long time now and all we hear is the same old bullshit from our union and our reps. We needed some results and we got none. alot of people on this job seem sad and lost not knowing what direction we are heading in. I don't have any answers to this big problem that we are all facing. It is just my opinion that we need some fight out of or leaders and without going into detail we are not happy the way things are going. Its funny how John e tried to make things better but got bashed to hell for it but now people want to see him run again. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet and hope we can get some fighters in our corner. First I did not who the fuck left and second never new about the hurry up and go buyout. Worker, that is a great point. It seems the office puts up a majority of the things that benefit the company. They do put up bereavement notices,which is thoughtful. I figured people retiring would make the office happy and they would have there names lit up in colors. isnt this what Neil wanted?He gets lower people in at lower rates and he also avoids having to fill in with other garages people and his hated Master list. Lets see,he takes the money he wants,gets Buy outs,Gets Opt outs,has flipped the garage as there are more people with less then 6 years then there are with more(I didnt check list I think thats true). Yet he cant negotiate and deal with us workers that went thru the same years to build up to top pay that he agreed too,yet he makes the same amount Via his contracts. Not getting away from the topic,yes workers morale sucks and its a shame that having to hear who retired has to be heard thru the grapevine,and for some its too late to say goodbye you have to track a co worker down personally to wish him a farewell.

Buzz I can't imagine that anyone retiring would be offended for being recognized. It goes together with respect and unity. We should be looking out for each other because no one else is. You would think that an employer would recognize its employees upon retirement. Some have dedicated over 40 years to pioneer and you would think there would be a retirement party annually. Most organizations do that.

I CARE very much about our future and was ask a couple of years ago to join a slate but I know not qualified enough. Last I check most of the guys are so fed up they are retiring in record numbers and the ones that do want to stay keep saying to give up nothing ever gonna change(we need to keep the moral up). I've attended meetings rallies and all though I didn't vote for any of them I stood with them when we were on the street but I've ask a number of times for them to come  to our shop and keep us better in for.end but got nowhere until I say something about.the job there doing that gets there attention.

1union....I know Bug personally, while you may have a different opinion then him. He is a loyal friend, coworker and a caring person. He woukd help anyone on the side of the road in any danger at anytime. Also he is one of the biggest union advocates 1181 has. I am glad he considers me a friend.
