Yabba ,My new book was supposed to start on the 10th but there were some issues. They fixed and my new book started on August 8th.Let's see what transpires going forward.

good luck  hopefully the 1st 2 payments are on your old claim...thats what im thinking is with mine also
Having the same issue I have 2 payments of 300 for 8/2 and 8/9 missing the 16th. I also had to open a new book the week of 8/9 i think if anyone opened a new book during this 3 week process you will be missing some of your payments...on the phone with UP atm trying to clear it up.

Well first off if they do decide to strike they won't get paid unless it supplemented by the UFT. Also based on the Taylor Law there are many other ramifications including jail and loss of jobs.

That aside if they should be deemed essential then they should get all the necessary PPE as did the nurses and doctors.

It's troubling to see how some discredit the teachers concerns but I guess that's easy to do if it doesn't effect you directly. The facts are simple Dumblasio and the BOE waited to long to initiate a plan that still at this point has many flaws. Yes we need to move forward and that includes returning to work. But I am sorry this is way to little and way to late. They should have started this attempt back in April by now they may at least have had a plan.
Apparently the teachers/paras will lose 2 days pay for every 1 day they are on strike is what i heard at a boe meeting.

No waiting week. The way they have been doing it ... for myself and others ... is back-dating your claim one week so you don't lose a week.
