Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter. The week went fast and a new month started, you know what that means  , yes parking rent due  .

We have the permits for April so see us asap.

Grace is helping me to collect and she does have the permits, so you can see her or myself.

I will stay late today at the barn, Friday April 1st, so please come up to me for your permit.

We are now offering Valet Parking and in May we will start our new Topless Car Wash for a small additional fee.  , and You can also pick your washer, ask for full details. 

If your hours are different and your can't catch us at the yard, call me and I will make myself available to meet you. 

PLEASE PUT PERMITS IN WINDOW! This will help me to KEEP THE NON PAID MEMBERS OUT and secure your spot, especially with all the new employees daily.

Hello Everybody,

The parking lot was plowed 3 times before you parked on Monday morning, after the big storm. He did a great job. The snow was cleared down to dirt and nobody got stuck or had to dig himself in or out. But unfortunately there was just too much snow and he had to pail it up in some areas that took up a few spots. Now we have less area to park. That caused a few of the early driver's not to consider the lost space and park normally, which left the rest of you with no spots. We need 2 rows on the left when you pull in. So if you leave late after work (3:45 on) Please pull back (rear of car to the house) and have another driver get in front of you. If you have a 4x4 or a large vehicle pull under the trees by the sidewalk. This will let the other drivers with smaller vehicles double up on the left by the house. This is ONLY (for the rest of the week) until the snow melts and we go back to normal parking. I have ask for the plow to come back, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it, so lets help out each other out.

Curves is in a worst condition, where there was no spots and paid members couldn't park.

We now have the permits for February so see us asap.

Hello All, 

Now that the pick is over, a few drivers went to the Sharrotts yard and I have several parking spots available at the storage yard. Of course it's first come, first serve. Three new drivers to AKR signed up already. This is for 11/30 and the month of December.

Get Your Spot Now before the SNOW! 

The monthly rent is $30., and a $30. deposit ($60.) before you park. I know we never had a deposit before, but the owners want the payment on the 1st of the month now! It is the only way we could have the parking spots.

The deposit will be returned if you leave before the 1st of the next month. I can now do partial and weekly parking at $10.00. for either.

Just to make it clear you Must have a deposit No exceptions.

For the members who went to Sharrotts, Please let me know ASAP, so I can full your spot. I will start returning your deposit this Friday 11/20, so you can pay Tony at Sharrotts.

I have several parking spots available at the storage yard for this month (September), first come, first serve. In October you will be guarantee a spot at the Skating Rink then. If the situation changes at the storage yard before October 1, and we can keep All our spots, you maybe able to stay at the storage yard then.

Hope Everybody had a good summer vacation! 

Well there's good news and bad news with our parking, as we all knew before we left.

The Good news is we still have a few spots at the storage yard (across from Lowe's) until the end of Sept., and I also secured enough parking spots behind (in the back) of the Skating Rink on AKR.

I know everybody feels it's far, (only 2/10s of a mile more than the storage yard) but Hopefully there will be a shuttle and Our fellow drivers that are at Sharrotts will stop and pick us up as they pass AKR yard.

As far as who will park at which yard. 

Everybody that was a member in AKR storage yard in June could park there "Only" for Sept.. Same parking directions. I secured it Only for Sept.. October we lose 1/2 the spots.

Spots at the Storage Yard will then (in October) be given to the members that are there the longest. I think that's the only fair way, and then on after that.

All New members will park behind the skating rink.

Spot locations will be assigned at the skating rink, which are marked in the pavement.

There is NO PARKING in the Front of the Skating Rink, Under ANY Circumstance!   

I am collecting this week, until we go back to work. You Must be "Paid in Full ($60.)" before the start of the new work year. You can call me to meet up!

You can park this week at AKR yard for your classes or pick. Please don't block in RNS Collision cars that are there.

I am still in negotiations with the new owner of the property, but supposedly he leased the land to a car dealer.

Only one more thing, No one is allowed to walk in the back of the yard

We like to thank everyone for putting up with the tight space. It was a rough month especially the first week when Halloween closed and the weather didn't help. Many drivers had (have) a long "cold" walk after parking their cars. We are doing our best to help out, but we need your help too. Now that the snow will be gone, we ask everybody to work together and park closer to each other to help out "our" fellow drivers. We may be able to add a car or two. Believe me we don't need the extra buck for them. For instance I got a call at 5:20 this morning about the lot (I'm getting use to it)  :

Due to the unknown circumstance at the Halloween store and the new drivers off the master list, we now have a waiting list. It's first come, first served.

Due to the weather (ice and snow) conditions, if you own a 4x4 can you help out your fellow workers that don't have a 4x4 and park under the trees close to AKR or any other deep snowy area that another driver may have trouble getting out without a 4 wheel drive. Our policy is that if there's over 3" of snow we plow at night. But if it snows during working hours those drivers without 4 wheel drive will find it difficult to get out and go home. This will be beneficial to you also so nobody will be sliding around and you may not have to help push them to the street.

The Owner agreed to wait till the 1st Friday of the month for US! All the other companies that rent their space there, pay on the 1st of the month.

There are a few of us that think they Do Not have to pay their rent until the 2nd Friday or even days after that, and they park there until I call and chase them down.  That is Not the agreement I have with you! It is Not the Agreement I have with the owner either!

For those that feel this is too strict or unfair because you can't find time to see us before the 1st Friday of the month. You are Welcome to Leave. I waste too many hours after work waiting around for you to collect your rent, SO YOU HAVE A PLACE TO PARK YOUR CAR!  It's really Not worth it to me. Sorry that is not our agreement. You have to at least have to meet me half way. Call me ahead of time and we can set up a meeting place and time, so you can make your payment and have a place to park in the mornings.

Joe MSG is in the barn at the round table almost every day (when you fuel up you can see him then) and at 3:35pm, and I will be available between 6:30 am till 6:45am and between 3:35 till a little after 4pm at the barn, I am also at IS24 and OLSS in the pm. In the afternoon in front of IS 24 (slot2) at 1:45pm and at OLSS 2:30 till 2:45 on Amboy & Huguenot Ave. It is YOUR responsibility to meet up with US! If you find it hard to see us, then give your payment to a friend that does see us at these times and locations.

I know that the space is getting a little tighter, but everybody should still be able to park, as long as we have no skinflint sneaks. Please don't block anyone in, for any reason.

Hello All,

There's a sign on the window in the driver's room. DOT will pave AKR this week.

I just spoke with the owner of the RCL Storage Yard. We can fit approximately 2 dozen cars "BEHIND THE FENCE" in the back of his yard on the Left side. That is Inside the Gate - Not in the front!

He is willing to let you park there for this week only for $10.00.....

I counted approximately 80 cars parked in the street from the yard to Bloomingdale rd. There must be at least 20 more cars parked in the other direction towards Tottenville. That's 100 cars with No parking on the street and looking for a spot in the morning.

If you need a spot this week, you must see me First and I will give you a temporary permit to park behind the fence.

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED - LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE!

Hello everyone,

We are collecting for February parking now. See Joe MSG at the round table daily (when you fuel up) or myself. I get in at 6:15am and 4:35pm. MSG gets in at 6:30am and 4:00pm. We can fit maybe 1 or 2 more cars, so if you need a spot contact us. Payment is due by February 7th.

One car was towed out last week by the owner, the cost was $136.50  . It's $68.05 once the tow puts the hook on, even if you get there before he leaves the property (tows you out). If you are sneaking in (toyota) the owner is going to have you towed. He has called me already to check. Please either pay like everybody else or don't park there! I have posted this as a warning, he will tow you. This is his livelyhood and his (private) property.

We are now collecting for October parking. Please see Joe MSG or myself by friday 10/4. I will be at the barn thursday at 2:30 and the rest of the week 3:35 - 4:00 pm.. Joe MSG is at the round table after the morning run daily and after 4:00 pm.. 

Also there were atleast 6 extra cars in the lot today, probably due to the rope off street parking on AKR. I understand that there was less/no parking in the street when you came to work  , but the lot is for PAID MEMBERS ONLY with PERMITS. There is a sign posted "PRIVATE PROPERTY VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER'S EXPENSE" with tow company's information.  If you did park there today you did take up a PAID MEMBER'S spot. They did call me early this morning to let me know that there was No Spot for them! If you want to park there let us know and we can change the parking patten to accommodate (you) more cars. It is NOT fair or right that they PAID for parking and You took their spot , I wrote down several plates and car info. that did not belong.

Members Thank You for displaying the permits in window, it was almost 100%  . It made my job easier and guarantees that you have your spot when you get in! Thank You Again!

I will Not do that again! Another was after parking for 2 1/2 weeks, "I'm not going park there anymore" or this one twice "I'm going out drxnking tonight see you next friday".
