The [tentative] date for arbitration regarding the run coverage pay is March 10.

We'll see what happens.

It could change just like the weather but it's not a tentative date. It's the fixed date.

Let's say, "Barring any unforeseen circumstances."  :wink_cheesy:  :wink_cheesy:  :wink_cheesy:

The only unforeseen circumstances would be that Neil comes up with an offer that we can't refuse or Neil's attorneys get into a car accident on the way to arbitration.
If anything I'll go with the latter

PROUD MEMBER

Unforeseen or maybe we should have said foreseen. For now all I can do is SMH

So basically the union sold us out again

I'll have to disagree
From what I was told, first hand.
The President had to make a decision what he thought was in the best interest of the Members. It was either go along with this agreement that was made or go to arbitration and risk losing everything. On recommendation from council and obviously his own thoughts he made the decision. It's a decision that if any of us had to make none of us can really fathom. I'm I 100% happy, NO but I think it was the correct choice. Having said that, not to pat myself on the back but I believe that if I personally represented us at an arbitration hearing that the % of winning would have been much higher. Reason being I like many of you have actually lived and experienced the operation at Pioneer for the past 21 years and specifically the Run Coverage for the past 5 years. No matter what information that the President, Delegates and attorneys were furnished they would not have been able to express our side the same way as me. That's just my opinion and obviously we still could've lost.
Bottom line we elect and pay a President to make all decisions for 1181. If anyone believes or has an opinion, well then they should go to the union meetings and voice it and not wait to voice dissatisfaction after the fact.
Also, I've talked to many members this morning that do not cover all or some part of their own work and every one of them except one said they were very happy with today's check. A check that if we went to arbitration may have been the same as every check that they received since the first week of September.

Numbers

If you're not too old to drive a bus you're not too old to lead a union.

Well Buzz
If that's the case, do you want to be the VP or a Delegate on my slate?!?!?
