Regarding Increased Medical Deduction

The $5 additional that we will contribute to our medical coverage is retroactive to January 1 of this year. 4 months ... January through April ... will be deducted from our ratification bonus. The amount is $80.

So, the first paycheck from which the additional $5 will be deducted will be the first paycheck in May. (It is being done this way because there will not be enough weeks left in the school year to just double up each remaining check.) Note that on July 1 of this year that amount will increase to $10 more being deducted each check and an additional $5 each July 1 thereafter.

(Note: the Employers increased contribution is retroactive to July 1 of last year. Originally our increased contribution was supposed to be retro to that date also, but our negotiation team was able to get that cut down to January.)

I am patient with stupidity, but not with those who are proud of it.

Yes, $5 more starting May, $5 more July 1 = $10, $5 more July 2020 - $15 more and so on.
